Woke College Suffers Brutal Karma: Here’s Their Punishment For Anti-Israel Protesters

American institutions for higher learning have had a few bad years. More and more families are being turned off by high tuition, low educational standards, and aggressive woke politics. It’s not a surprise that parents are unwilling to send their children to expensive, Marxist daycare centers.

But things only got worse when major schools allowed far-left protests to build camps on their grounds.

These progressives were being trained by anti-Israel foreign entities, and they spread hateful propaganda against a U.S. ally and Jewish Americans. Even Jewish students feared attending classes. Many schools were too cowardly to shut down these demonstrations until cities and states got involved but now, a blue state school has just admitted what their protests have cost them.

From The Post Millennial:
Emerson College told its staff that anti-Israel protests are one of the contributing factors as to why freshman enrollment for the fall is “significantly below” projections. As a result, the Boston-based college is planning budget cuts and may end up slashing faculty positions…

Emerson was one of the Boston-area colleges that saw a Gaza camp and anti-Israel protests following the example of the antisemitic activists at Columbia University. The Gaza camp was set up in April in a public alley next to Boylston Street and the activists refused to leave until the administration called for a ceasefire in Gaza and divested from companies that do business in Israel.

Emerson College revealed that enrollment for next year is “significantly below” what it should be. Because of this, they will have to slash its budget, and that could result in faculty getting the boot.

The school pointed to several reasons for this, but the biggest seems to be the school’s allowance of anti-Israel and anti-semitic protests. The president said that the protests targeted events aimed at recruiting new students, and the “negative press” from social media turned potential students away.

Uh… duh! Why should parents spend thousands of dollars for their children to get beaten up by anti-semites? But the school seems blind to the long-term problem; it claims this is only a “one-year phenomenon” and that enrollment will increase in the coming years.

Don’t be too sure about that, Emerson. American families are choosing more affordable options, as they realize how useless these big schools are. The Gaza protests only drove the nail into the coffin, and unless these colleges dramatically reverse course (and lower tuitions), enrollments may never go back up.

After all, who’s to say that these anti-semites are gone for good?

Key Takeaways:

  • Emerson College is slashing its budget due to very low enrollment in the fall.
  • The school blames, in part, the radical progressive, anti-Israel protests it allowed.
  • Many Americans are getting turned off to big colleges because they’ve allowed antisemitism to brew.
