Hours After Gov. Whitmer Calls Women “Menstruating People,” Her GOP Challengers Unload on Her

In this day and age of political correctness and “wokeness,” the left continues to push the boundaries of science and biology. At the same time, many American citizens say liberals have become far too radical.

With pregnant man flashcards getting news headlines and schools promoting multiple gender theory, Republicans and Conservatives wonder just how far left Democrats are willing to go.

Well, replacing the word “woman” might be on the agenda — just ask Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

Whitmer, who has come under heavy fire in recent years for the draconian measures she used during the pandemic, is unsurprisingly standing up for abortion rights.

If the Supreme Court does indeed overturn Roe v. Wade, there’s a proposed amendment to the Michigan state constitution that protects abortion access for residents. And of course, Whitmer supports it.

In speaking about the amendment, Whitmer talked about bringing a lawsuit on behalf of women in the state.

Except, she didn’t say “women.”

From Fox News:

I have the constitutional ability to bring a lawsuit to protect constitutional rights of people of Michigan.

So I brought a lawsuit on behalf of all the menstruating people in Michigan — 2.2 million. And another tool I have is to go straight to our state Supreme Court.

Apparently, Whitmer is doing one of two things here:

Either she’s insinuating that men can also menstruate, or she doesn’t like the word “women” and prefers to call females “menstruating people.” Either way, it’s ruffling plenty of feathers on the other side of the aisle.

And on top of that, Gov. Whitmer faces a slew of right-wing opponents hoping to remove the far-left leader.

These candidates quickly seized on the Governor’s comment. For example, businesswoman Tudor Dixon unloaded on Whitmer, citing this as the latest example of a Party gone “insane”:

Has the left gone insane? I mean really. Menstruating people? Drag queens in every school? This is not normal behavior.

Someone needs to check the Democratic Party. It’s starting to seem like COVID was more like mad cow disease.

Pastor Ralph Rebandt added that Whitmer’s “politically correct LGBTQ+ language is evidence of a moral collapse in our society,” and added that the left has become “a culture that rejects Nature’s God.”

A spokesperson for Kevin Rinke also told Fox News that the Left has now gone radical on just about every major issue in America.

And this has led to “failed leadership” in Michigan:

Gov. Whitmer and her entire administration have shown they are on the extreme, fringe Left when it comes to every issue.

Between the AG calling for a drag queen in every classroom to the governor making up her own anatomy course, this administration has lost sight of the fact that Michiganders are suffering under their failed leadership.

The standard labels for men and women are starting to fall by the wayside, as liberals and Democrats continue to claim there are no longer just two genders.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama suggested a spelling change last month — from “woman” to “womxn.”

That’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to “woke” terminology and other ideas, many of which are starting to concern regular citizens. They worry this is a twisted, amoral, non-scientific direction for a society.

And it might seriously hurt the Democrat Party in upcoming elections, if the poll indications are accurate.

Key Takeaways:

  • Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer referred to women as “menstruating people.”
  • Her GOP challengers fired back: claiming liberals are exhibiting abnormal behavior, and that Whitmer’s administration is on the “extreme, fringe Left.”
  • The “woke” agenda might be hurting Democrat chances in elections.
