It’s no secret that Trump has plenty of enemies. The entire liberal establishment is against him. So is much of the “conservative” establishment in Washington, D.C. The corrupt “uni-party” within the D.C. swamp doesn’t want Trump anywhere near the White House again. And they will do anything it takes to stop him.
But perhaps his biggest enemies are the ones spreading the left’s propaganda far and wide. Trump has made no bones about attacking the mainstream media. He has torched long-standing news outlets that spend most of their time attacking him and his family. But Trump just revealed plans to attend a “town hall” taking questions from voters. You won’t believe who’s hosting it.

CNN will host a presidential town hall featuring former President Donald Trump, the network announced on Monday.
“The event, hosted by ‘CNN This Morning’ anchor Kaitlan Collins and airing at 9 pm EST on May 10, will feature the former president taking questions from New Hampshire Republicans and undeclared voters who plan to vote in the 2024 GOP presidential primary,” CNN said in a statement on Monday.
I’m sorry, but I have to read that again. Trump will be attending a presidential town hall hosted by CNN? This is the same Donald Trump that called CNN “very fake news.” The same Trump who gloated over CNN’s falling ratings.
This man might not even attend debates hosted by his own party. So, why is he willing to attend an event run by the most leftist news channel imaginable?
Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that CNN has been through a shakeup in recent months. They fired their president and numerous staff. They even just canned Don Lemon, despite the fact he is a gay black man (and pretty much untouchable by liberal standards).
Maybe things are changing at the news network? Or perhaps Trump knows he needs all the support he can get from voters. New Hampshire is hardly “Trump country” and there are probably more than a few primary voters on the fence with his 2024 bid.
With Ron DeSantis, Mike Pence, and Tim Scott potentially running–Trump can’t rest in polls that are weeks or months old. He probably knows that attending a CNN could do more good than harm, especially since it is a town hall format.
This won’t be crooked reporters twisting his words, but actual voters. Maybe that will give him the edge he needs?
