Trump Scores Shock Victory in Court – And It Came Straight Out of His Opponent’s Mouth

Donald Trump is in New York to deal with one of several criminal lawsuits thrown at him by Democrat prosecutors. Previous New York prosecutors tried to find something to pin on him. They failed, resulting in resignations.

It appears Alvin Bragg twisted state laws and facts to accuse Trump of paying “hush money” to Stormy Daniels during the 2016 Election.

Democrats appear to be reaching for straws to nail Trump. It is questionable if “hush money” is even a criminal offense. But they just got some very bad news during a recent hearing. Daniels’ lawyer testified before the court about the $130,000 payment (made by Trump’s lawyer, not Trump). Daniels’ lawyer just torched the left’s entire cash.

From Fox News:
Keith Davidson, lawyer for adult film actress Stormy Daniels, said in court Thursday that the $130,000 payment to Daniels was not “hush money,” but a “consideration” payment.

“Rumors that I have received hush money from Donald Trump are completely false,” the statement says. “I don’t believe that Stormy ever alleged that any interaction with Trump was ‘romantic,‘” Davidson testified Thursday…

Davidson added that he would never use “hush money” to describe the money exchange.

The lawyer representing Stormy Daniels, Keith Davidson, said in court that the payment given to Daniels was not “hush money.” He read a statement that said the rumors that the money was “hush money” were “completely false.” The money was a “consideration” not a payment to keep the woman silent, it appears.

A “consideration” is a term in legal contracts for something given in return for the promise of abiding by a contract. The payment was called “legal fees” in Trump’s accounting, which is what Democrats claim was fraud.

This strikes a huge blow in the left’s case. If Daniels didn’t consider the payment “hush money” then there was no reason for Trump’s lawyers to falsify accounting papers. The charges leveled at Trump seem a stretch at best. And this testimony should certainly lead to this case wrapping up in a vindication for Trump.

That is if the odds weren’t stacked against the former president. The case is being presided over by a liberal judge, whose family works for Democrats. And the jurors are from New York and might lean liberal. They could still find him guilty. Or even if they exonerate Trump, what could the judge do?

Democrats are hellbent on stopping Trump from returning to office. These cases are being called “lawfare” as a means of ruining him. Even with testimony like this, they might not let him go free.

Key Takeaways:

  • Stormy Daniels’ read a statement that revealed the payment was not “hush money.”
  • The lawyer said it was a “consideration” which is a common legal term.
  • This could shatter the left’s agenda, if the jury rules in Trump’s favor.
