Trump Just Made a Heartbreaking Promise – He Gives It to America at a Hero’s Funeral

This week, Donald Trump attended the funeral of a New York police officer. Officer Jonathan Diller was gunned down during a routine traffic stop. The alleged shooter had 21 prior arrests yet was still on the streets.

The police union personally invited Trump to attend the funeral (while ordering New York Democrats to stay away). The former president said he met with Diller’s widow and their 1-year-old son.

While attending his funeral, Trump made a few remarks about the horrible event. He condemned the circumstances that led to Diller’s death. And he made one serious vow to the American public.

From The Post Millennial:
“What happens is such a sad, sad event. Such a horrible thing. And it’s happening all too often. We’re just not going to let it happen. We just can’t. 21 times arrested, this thug, and the person in the car with him was arrested many times and they don’t learn because they don’t respect” the police, Trump said…

“The Diller family never be the same,” he said, adding that “We have to get back to law and order. We have to do a lot of things differently.”

Donald Trump shared his condolences to the Diller family, who lost their husband and father. The former president discussed how a “thug” who had been arrested 21 times was able to kill a cop during a simple traffic stop.

He said this kind of slaying is “happening all too often.” And he vowed that, should he be elected president, “We’re not going to let it happen.” President Trump has long been a strong advocate for police and upholding law and order.

Democrats claim they also support the police. Yet, in recent years, they seem to have sided with progressive groups that have called for police departments to be defunded or entirely abolished. Liberals in the media have spread anti-police rhetoric, which has put cops in greater danger.

Trump said that America has “to do a lot of things differently.” He might have been speaking about policies and legislation that provide adequate funding to police. He might have also been discussing blue city policies that allow criminals to walk the streets while hindering police from doing their jobs.

Joe Biden has repeatedly been criticized for the crime epidemic going on in America. It does not seem as if his administration has done anything to address this problem. Not one executive order or bill signed into law has been focused on crime in America.

Key Takeaways:

  • Donald Trump vowed that if elected America won’t allow deaths like Officer Diller’s to happen.
  • The former president attended the funeral of the young officer who was killed during a traffic stop.
  • Trump criticized the leftist policies that are allowing crime to explode.
