Nancy Pelosi never saw The Donald coming.
Going into yesterday’s midterms “experts” predicted a Blue Wave. They had good reason to.
Rarely—if ever—does a sitting president keep control of Congress two years into his administration. Even “golden boy” Obama lost control in 2010—a divide that only grew wider in the ensuing years.
But Trump defied history—yet again—by expanding the Republican’s majority in the Senate. The House was supposed to fall bigly to the Democrats. Instead, they eked out a tiny majority.
Every last win for conservatives yesterday was earned by Trump. His tireless campaigning gave Republicans a decided victory.
The president meant the difference in hot races. Democrats were hungry to steal seats. Instead, they were largely foiled.
Now the Commander in Chief has some strong words for his rivals in the House.
“There’s only been 5 times in the last 105 years that an incumbent President has won seats in the Senate in the off year election. Mr. Trump has magic about him. This guy has magic coming out of his ears. He is an astonishing vote getter & campaigner. The Republicans are………

….unbelievably lucky to have him and I’m just awed at how well they’ve done. It’s all the Trump magic – Trump is the magic man. Incredible, he’s got the entire media against him, attacking him every day, and he pulls out these enormous wins.” Ben Stein, “The Capitalist Code”

Think about that history for a moment. Only 5 TIMES in the last 105 years has a president won seats in the Senate in an off election.
Rarely can a president keep enthusiasm going, two years in. His rivals often have the upper hand, by pointing to his failures and mustering their base.
But Trump has scored one victory after another for Americans—even when the House refused to play ball.
It’s no surprise that Senate Republicans won so big. They, after all, stood beside the president and his Supreme Court pick.
If the Democrats think they are going to waste Taxpayer Money investigating us at the House level, then we will likewise be forced to consider investigating them for all of the leaks of Classified Information, and much else, at the Senate level. Two can play that game!

Pelosi and the House Democrats claimed they would start up investigations if they won the House.
They still think Trump and his people are guilty of collusions (despite Mueller’s probe going on for two years, producing nothing). It’s just a stall tactic meant to waste tax dollars.
Trump isn’t going to take that lying down. The Democrats have more than a few skeletons in their closets. If they try to waste time with bogus investigations, Trump will turn the might of the Senate (and DOJ and FBI) against them.
It will get pretty sticky for the Democrats in short order.
Perhaps they should instead consider working with the president? But I won’t hold my breath.
SHARE if you think Trump should investigate Democrats for their corruption!
