Most people agree—Donald Trump is a master at trolling his political opponents. He was in fine form this week as he took shots at the son of his political nemesis, then in almost the same breath promoted his presidential campaign.
Now, Washington, D.C. is a big place and sometimes people get a little confused about where they are when they visit. But when high-profile people like Hunter Biden get called before Congress, they should have D.C. expert pointing them in the right direction.
Hunter Biden was served a subpoena to appear before the U.S. House to testify about his (and possibly his father’s) business dealings, but apparently took a wrong turn on the way. And Trump couldn’t resist the chance to slam a Biden.

“Did you see Hunter today? He went to the wrong place,” Trump said. “He went to the Senate instead of the House. Everyone’s saying, ‘Where’s Hunter?’”
The dig at Hunter Biden was prompted after he defied a subpoena to appear for a scheduled deposition before the House Oversight Committee. The president’s son instead held a press conference outside the Capitol criticizing GOP efforts to get him to testify.
House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) and House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) responded by beginning the process of holding Hunter Biden in contempt of Congress.
Trump continued his criticism by taking shots at Joe Biden who he said promised to “restore law and order” once back in the White House, according to the Washington Examiner. He claimed there is a “two-tier system of justice” and promised to clean house at the Department of Justice, restore border security, and “keep men out of women’s sports.”
Trump shifted his speech in Iowa to ask a favor of voters ahead of the state’s Jan. 15 caucus. The former president urged Republicans to not take their foot off the gas even as he leads all GOP contenders by a wide margin.
“We’re way, way, way up, but you have to do me a favor: Just go out and vote,” Trump said at his rally in Coralville, Iowa. “We have to put big numbers, really big numbers.”
He described how some people may think his lead is so large that they can sit at home and watch a movie on voting day. He doesn’t want people to sit around and watch the vote tallies afterward, but to get to the polls and vote.
Trump overwhelmingly leads his Republican counterparts for the party’s nomination, polling at 61.5%, according to FiveThirtyEight. The next two candidates trail by almost 50 points.
Trump’s Iowa rally was held the same day as the House of Representatives voted to authorize an impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden during what may be his first and only term in office.
