Trump Strikes Top GOP Turncoat Hard – Donald Just Put An End To His Career

What’s Happening:

In recent elections, Donald Trump scored major wins. No, he wasn’t running, but his endorsements put many candidates over the top. In Texas, all of his GOP primary picks won big. That pattern seems to repeat itself in every state Trump endorses a candidate.

There’s no doubt that Trump’s influence can make or break a candidate. Any Republican with half a brain knows they need to get on the Trump train to win.

One particular candidate was happy to earn Trump’s endorsement, when he was behind in the polls. After Trump came along and gave him the good word, he skyrocketed. But now, this same Republican is trying to distance himself from Trump and his ongoing battle for election integrity.

That’s not good enough for 45, so he’s pulling the plug. From The Hill:

Former President Trump has pulled his endorsement of Rep. Mo Brooks in this year’s Alabama Senate primary, slamming the Republican as “woke” and disloyal to him for doubting his claims about the 2020 presidential election…

“Very sad but, since he decided to go in another direction, so have I, and I am hereby withdrawing my Endorsement of Mo Brooks for the Senate. I don’t think the great people of Alabama will disagree with me. Election Fraud must be captured and stopped, or we won’t have a Country anymore.”

Ouch. This is going to hurt old Mo more than he thinks. Donald Trump endorsed this Republican for Senate and his numbers improved. He took a “44-point lead” among other primary candidates.

But, according to Trump, Brooks hired a new campaign staff who convinced him to stop supporting Trump’s ongoing concern over the 2020 Election results. Mo reported said they need to “put that behind you” and focus on 2022 and 2024.

Saying he’s gone “woke,” Donald Trump withdrew his endorsement and is looking for a new Republican to back. Reports suggest he might get behind retiring Sen. Shelby’s former aide, Katie Britt. But the removal of his endorsement for Brooks could seal this candidate’s fate.

The Alabama primaries are coming up soon and any sudden news can shift the results dramatically. For Trump to not only pull his support but criticize Mo, it could spell his doom.

It’s unclear what will happen, now that Trump is positioning himself against Brooks. Can Brooks hold onto the support he’s mustered and win the primary? Or will this devastating loss take away enough votes from the candidate, that he loses in disgrace?

Key Takeaways:

  • Donald Trump pulled his endorsement from “woke” Mo Brooks.
  • He blasted the GOP candidate for Senate over his remarks on the 2020 Election.
  • Brooks enjoyed a 44-point lead after Trump endorsed his campaign.
