Congress tried to cut Donald a bad deal – but he was hiding an ace in his back pocket.

President Trump finally came to an agreement with Congress for the border wall.

But, as usual, Congress low-balled him. The funds will not be enough to finish the wall.

Trump knows this, so he’s taking matters into his own hands.

A White House spokesman quoted by Fox reportedly insisted that Trump has “alternative options” for his border wall deal. Assuming he follows through with the plan, it looks like Trump finally got everything he wanted out of the border deal – the next step of the wall will be built, and the government will remain open.

A White House official told The Post this morn that President Trump sees signing the border deal, if passed by Congress, as the way to avoid another shutdown. But, he would also likely pursue an executive order to reallocate federal funds to barrier projects, the official said.

Looks like Trump will use an executive order to reallocate funds to get the wall done.

Congress could have scored a big win. They could have sided with the American people and made sure every last one of us is safe.

Instead, they kept playing partisan games, leaving us all at risk.

We need a full wall, not parts of a wall. Any gap left open will become a highway for smugglers.

All the holes must be closed. Trump knows this. America knows this. And the coyotes know this.
