Though the 2024 presidential election is still a long ways off, millions in America are all asking one big question: will former President Donald Trump run again?
So far, Trump hasn’t confirmed that he’s running, though he’s hinted at another campaign numerous times. And Biden’s plummeting approval ratings are adding more fuel to the fire.
Plus, it’s obvious that Trump is still immensely popular — maybe even more popular than he ever was before.
That’s what the results of several recent polls are showing us: Trump remains massively influential within his party, and he retains plenty of supporters from his time in the White House.
Some surveys say that if the election was held again today, the former POTUS would beat Biden easily.
Perhaps most eye-opening is the latest poll conducted by Trump’s super PAC, “Make America Great Again, Again.” This not only showed off Trump’s surging popularity, but also Biden’s steep decline.
The current President’s numbers have suffered hefty drop-offs due to rising economic concerns and his support of far-left agendas.
And now, that seems to be hurting him and in turn, Trump benefits greatly.
Via Washington Examiner:
Trump’s post-White House super PAC, Make America Great Again, Again, recently commissioned a head-to-head poll pitting the 45th president against his successor, President Joe Biden. The poll, conducted between Nov. 11-16…
[It] showed Trump besting Biden in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, all states that were critical to Biden’s 2020 victory.
According to the final election results, if Trump had managed to take even a couple of those 5 states, he likely would’ve been re-elected.
It was very close in many of those states, and the last Commander-in-Chief held large early leads in places like Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. But Biden got a huge surge from mail-in ballots, which were counted later.
But that result hasn’t diminished Trump’s popularity.
Tony Fabrizio, who conducted the poll on behalf of MAGAA, reminds everyone that Trump is still the #1 force in the GOP (from Politico):
Poll after poll clearly demonstrates that former President Donald Trump is still the 800-pound gorilla in the GOP and would be its 2024 nominee should he run.
This new data clearly shows that today the voters in these five key states would be happy to return Trump to the White House and send Biden packing.
On top of these promising results, Trump expects to add many more millions to his possible campaign war chest.
That is currently worth about $100 million, but it should go much higher after Trump hosts his biggest fundraiser of the year at Mar-a-Lago. This will take place on December 2.
Maybe after that, the former President will give America a clearer picture of his future plans.
If Biden’s performance ratings continue to crater and Trump keeps surging in the polls, it’s very possible that Donald will decide to run again.
One former Trump campaign official said the 2020 loss “was a major blow to his confidence,” but “the absolute disaster of the Biden presidency” make it seem like “Trump 2024” is definitely going to happen.
A few GOP leaders think there is one fly in the ointment, however.
They say that if Biden doesn’t seek reelection, the situation becomes trickier for Trump. His team seems convinced they can beat Biden, but it might be a different situation if another Democrat runs.
That could be a moot point, though, as most reports say Biden certainly will go for reelection in 2024.
And if that happens, Trump might be more than ready to head back to the White House.
- A new poll conducted by Trump’s MAGAA organization contains concerning results for President Joe Biden.
- The survey shows that Trump would win 5 states Biden took in the 2020 election.
- One GOP official says that given Biden’s tumbling approval and Trump’s surging popularity, “Trump 2024” is a question of “when,” not “if.”
