Over the past four years, Donald Trump has been one of Joe Biden’s most outspoken critics. That’s why it came as a huge shock when Trump just spoke out to defend Biden from what he believes the Democratic Party has done to him.
Last month, Biden abruptly dropped out of the presidential race weeks after his apparent cognitive failings were displayed to the world during his debate with Trump. On Thursday, Trump gave his first press conference since Biden left the race and passed the baton to his Vice President Kamala Harris.
Many were shocked by Trump’s comments. In a rare move, Trump rushed to Biden’s defense.

“The presidency was taken away from Joe Biden, and I’m no Biden fan,” Trump said.“From a constitutional standpoint — from any standpoint you look at — they took the presidency away,” he continued. “Whether he could win or he couldn’t win, he had the right to run, and they took it away.”
Trump cited allegations that Biden was threatened with the 25th Amendment and reports that Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) privately confronted Biden. Biden, of course, eventually succumbed to the pressure campaign to drop out of the race last month, which propelled Harris to the top of the Democratic Party’s presidential ticket.
There have indeed been multiple reports alleging that Pelosi teamed up with former President Barack Obama to pressure Biden to drop out of the race. They had been in Biden’s corner until the first presidential debate when it became hopelessly obvious to even the most devoted Democrats that reports of Biden’s cognitive failings had been accurate after all.
In the wake of Biden dropping out, Democrats anointed Harris as his replacement. They did this without letting Democratic voters have any say whatsoever about who would take Biden’s place. Democrats constantly say that Republicans like Trump pose a threat to democracy. Yet with this move, Democrats showed that it’s them who, in fact, are the real threats to democracy.

He’s a very angry man right now, I can tell you that. He’s not happy with [Barack] Obama and he’s not happy with Nancy Pelosi.”“He’s trying to put up a good face. But it is a very bad thing in terms of a country when you do that,” Trump continued. “I’m not a fan of his, as you probably have noticed, and he had a rough debate, but that doesn’t mean that you just take it away like that.
Trump later said that what the Democratic Party has done with Harris here is “unconstitutional.” As usual, Trump is spot-on with these remarks.
If Republicans pulled a stunt like this one, we would never hear the end of it. The mainstream media would be up in arms about democracy being under attack. Since it is Democrats doing this, however, there has been no such outrage from the media. Instead, the mainstream media has fallen in line and focused all of their energy on fawning over Harris while the Democratic Party shamelessly abandons democracy.
The hypocrisy of the left never ceases to amaze.
