Trump Ally Just Betrayed ‘The Donald’ – New 2024 Contender Plans Big Splash in Presidential Race: Senator Tim Scott

What’s Happening:

This week, Trump got his first 2024 challenger in the form of Nikki Haley. She was formerly Trump’s UN ambassador, but now, she has become his first rival. Trump probably assumed he’d run unopposed, but Haley’s entrance into the race means he will have a harder time winning conservative voters.

Make that even harder. We said that Nikki Haley would not be the last Trump challenger. And now, another familiar face is entering the ring. This man worked with Trump on some groundbreaking achievements. But now, it looks like he’s trying to take his crown.

From The Post Millennial:

Republican South Carolina Sen Tim Scott is reportedly planning to run for president in 2024…

Jennifer DeCasper, a Scott senior adviser, told the outlet he was “excited to share his vision of hope and opportunity and hear the American people’s response.”

Scott is reportedly testing a message with Republican voters in key early states focused on optimism and unity, as some say that it’s time for the party to move on from former President Donald Trump, who announced his bid for president shortly after the midterm elections.

It looks like the GOP 2024 field will be getting crowded earlier than we thought. A top executive is testing the waters in Iowa for a 2024 bid. Nikki Haley has officially run. And now, Sen. Tim Scott is planning on making a bid for the nomination.

Sen. Scott worked with Trump to improve the lives of inner-city Americans with “Opportunity Zones.” This program encouraged companies to invest in these impoverished regions, bringing much-needed opportunity. The program helped turn around the lives of many Americans.

Now, it seems Scott is heading up a campaign focused on optimism and unity. It is possible he is trying to counter Trump’s image. In recent years, Trump has skewed negative–pushing his 2020 Election fraud claims and turning on any Republican who disagrees with him.

We can’t predict how successful Scott will be. But any new entrant into the race changes things. He might pull many voters away from Trump or other prominent candidates. As a black candidate from South Carolina, he might steal votes from Southern and minority Republicans.

It all remains to be seen. Many believe Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis will enter the race. That will further shake up the election, which is posing to be very intense.

Key Takeaways:

  • GOP Sen. Tim Scott is rumored to plan a 2024 Election campaign.
  • This comes as Nikki Haley launched her campaign for president.
  • Donald Trump will have numerous rivals, by the time the primaries come around.
