The sad reality is, many of America’s biggest cities are no longer safe to live in. For generations, Americans have migrated to big cities–because that was where the opportunity was. But today, Americans can leave these places fast enough, thanks to the radical leftist city councils.

These leftists are single-handedly running these cities into the ground.

Democrat-controlled cities are becoming nightmarish hellscapes. Every other day there is a shooting or a riot. Police are quitting in droves. And 9-11 calls aren’t even answered. Despite this, Democrats refuse to wake up and smell the coffee. Well, maybe this news will come as a bucket of cold water.

As reporter John Nolte put it, left-wing cities and states have made shoplifting nearly legal by letting such criminals off with barely a slap on the wrist.

This is very bad news. Major retailers like Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and others are closing stores nationwide. Not because they are losing business to Amazon, but because shoplifting has become out of control.

In many Democrat-run cities, they have decriminalized shoplifting. Police don’t arrest or charge shoplifters. They are let go with just a “warning.” That, as you’d predict, has led to unchecked crime in most stores.

Shoplifting has become so bad in cities like Chicago, San Francisco, Portland, and more that criminals organize planned hits on stores. They make off with thousands of dollars in stolen merchandise.

What can these stores do, but close down?

And if you think this is isolated to places in the North, think again. Even now, the city of San Antonio, TX is mulling over a similar policy. If voters choose so in May, they can vote to decriminalize shoplifting in their city. Of course, it will result in massive crime and the shuttering of countless stores.

Not only does this deprive residents of affordable, safe places to shop, but thousands of employees are out of jobs. Democrats are going out of their way to destroy our economy and communities. And for what? The chance to score a win for “social justice.”
