Throughout Joe Biden’s sham of a presidency, he’s prioritized his own woke agenda over actually helping the American people. Few have suffered more because of this than American children, who have found themselves targeted by Biden’s woke policies more than any other group.
Thankfully, the great state of Texas is fighting back against this in a big way. Indeed, Texas just let Biden know that his woke nonsense is not going to fly in the Lone Star State.
On Tuesday, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton hit the Biden administration with a lawsuit over a new rule that forces states to ensure foster care placements affirm a child’s gender identity or sexual orientation. Paxton argues that the rule, which was finalized back in April, “shoehorns gender ideology into a statutory scheme that allows no room for it.”
The rule effectively makes it so that in order to receive federal funding, states must submit to Biden’s woke gender ideologies. Paxton, however, is not having any of it.

“The Biden Administration is attempting to hold the Texas foster care system hostage to force unscientific, fringe beliefs about gender upon the entire country,” Attorney General Ken Paxton said in a statement. “The new rule directly violates federal law and threatens to undermine our vital foster care programs, putting children who need safe, loving homes at risk.”The lawsuit argues the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has no statutory authority to enforce the rule, as Title IV “does not address sexual orientation or gender identity.”
“These is no clear statutory basis for a new condition requiring separate placement conditions for LGBTQI+ children,” the lawsuit contends. “Accordingly, States like Texas were not on fair notice that their receipt of federal funds for foster care could be burdened by a regulatory mandate to affirm LGBTQI+ wards.”

Common Tactic For Biden
The sleazy tactic that the Biden administration used with this rule has unfortunately become a common play for them. They give states federal funds. They then sneak in their woke rules, forcing states to follow them in order to continue receiving the funds that they desperately need.
To hold funding for the Texas foster care system hostage is a new low for Biden. Children in the foster care system have already been through enough. They should be given the funding that they need with no questions asked. Instead, Biden is using these kids as pawns in his sick quest to make the next generation of Americans as woke as possible.
Unlike many other states, Texas actually has the guts to fight back against Biden’s woke agenda. Indeed, Paxton has been pushing back against this rule ever since it was first proposed in September of last year. It’s time for more attorneys general all over the country to join his fight and stop this disturbing Biden rule dead in its tracks. If for no other reason, do it for the sake of the children.
No wonder Americans all over the country are flocking to Texas in droves in search of better lives. In the end, the bulk of us would rather live in a patriotic state that stands its ground, rather than somewhere that blindly submits to Biden’s woke agenda.
