Minutes Before His Team Wins Game 7 – MLB Star’s Shock Move in the Dugout Is Going Viral

What’s Happening:

The attitude sweeping through elite academics in the United States leans toward condemning those who profess their religious faith. The people of Israel and their supporters, the new speaker of the House in Congress, and athletes in almost every genre of professional sports have been openly criticized for their beliefs.

People of faith have been condemned throughout history, but many have held to their beliefs no matter what is hurled at them. When a professional athlete stands for what they believe it is an inspiration to others who face negative attitudes in society. One starting pitcher at the highest level of professional baseball presented a clear picture of holding to his faith that couldn’t be ignored across news media.

From Blaze News:
“Diamondbacks pitcher Brandon Pfaadt appears to be reading the Bible moments before taking the mound for a winner-take-all Game 7,” CBS Sports’ Danny Vietti wrote on X.

The image went viral on social media after Pfaadt pitched four innings with seven strikeouts, allowing two runs during the 4-2 victory that was an elimination game leading into the World Series. His attention on the Bible during Game 7 against the Philadelphia Phillies while he waited in the dugout as his teammates batted in the first inning sparked a high level of interest.

Per the anti-faith attitude that reigns in the media today, some speculated that the thick book Pfaadt was reading was nothing more than scouting reports or notes on opposing players. That doesn’t align with Pfaadt’s past religious statements and references to his faith.

His references to faith began before he ever entered the pros. Pfaadt spoke of his belief in God helping with stress as he awaited the MLB draft in 2020.

“There’s a lot of anxiety coming up to this moment.” Pfaadt said. “But I think you gotta just keep working hard no matter what, and then whatever happens, happens. God has a plan, so just keep working hard every single day, and hopefully, your dream will come true.”

Pfaadt played for Catholic schools in high school and college. The Diamondbacks are competing in their first World Series since winning their only championship in 2001. They face the Texas Rangers.,

“It feels unbelievable,” Pfaadt told MLB.com about the win. “To come up with the guys that I came up with, and look them in the face and say that we’re going to the World Series, it feels surreal.”

Win or lose in the championship series, Pfaadt is a winner for players and fans who want to be more open about their faith. He is a bright light against dark attitudes in society today.

Key Takeaways:

  • Photograph of MLB pitcher expressing faith goes viral on social media.
  • These words help World Series-caliber player to compete at highest level.
