After Swamp Impeaches Texas AG – He Pulls Off a Stunning Record-Breaking Move

What’s Happening:

The political swamp isn’t restricted to Washington, D.C. Rats from the Beltway have their slimy fingers in politics all the way to the state level, even in the Republican stronghold of Texas.

Texans believe strongly in the Constitution and due process for anyone accused of a crime. When politicians overstep their authority and abuse power, Texans react harshly and swiftly.

That’s the case for Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton who was impeached by one house in the state legislature — but the impeachment has only boosted Paxton’s status among voters.

Here’s the evidence of that, from The Post Millennial:

In a press release from Ken Paxton’s office, he disclosed that in the near ‘two months after the House’s sham and illegal impeachment, Attorney General Ken Paxton raised $1.7 million dollars in 11 days.’

Those are personal fundraising records, according to the news outlet, and Paxton has fought back against the impeachment as “unfounded” and “politically motivated.”

The Texas House accused Paxton of alleged bribery and abuse of public trust during his impeachment in May. The Texas Senate must hold a trial to determine the final outcome of the impeachment.

Paxton came out swinging after the House proceedings and hasn’t let up since, as donor support surged for the attorney general who is gearing up for a fierce fight.

From The Post Millennial:

‘I am beyond grateful to have the support of millions of Texans who recognize that what we just witnessed is illegal, unethical, and profoundly unjust,’ Paxton tweeted.

‘I look forward to a quick resolution in the Texas Senate, where I have full confidence the process will be fair and just.’

Paxton’s defiance of the swamp attack has been backed by powerful Republicans who support his defense against impeachment.

GOP supporters in Dallas County, the second largest county in the state, voiced in a resolution their disgust at the impeachment efforts.

From The Post Millennial:

The resolution explicitly condemned the impeachment process, saying the “Dallas County Republican Party CONDEMNS the process by which the Texas House of Representatives impeached General Paxton as unprecedented and an offense to Due Process.”

Paxton isn’t one to mince words and lashed out at liberal Republicans and Democrats he says are “in lockstep with the Biden Administration” on issues that include anti-gun efforts, abortion, woke corporations, and illegal immigration. He doesn’t plan to back down anytime soon in this fight against the swamp at all levels.

From The Post Millennial:

‘Not only will we survive this latest attack but we will come out of this stronger than ever. I will never stop fighting for Texans,’ Paxton continued.

No one can be certain at this point how any legal accusations against Paxton will play out in the courts or the Texas Legislature.

However, it’s good to know is that he’s a fighter defending the rights of citizens who deserve more than the abuses of power committed by swamp rats at the federal and state level.

Key Takeaways:

  • Swamp attacks Texas attorney general and he bites back.
  • Ken Paxton breaks personal fundraising goals after impeachment.
  • Powerful Texas GOP group supports Paxton and condemns legislators.
