Radical leftists who have infiltrated the U.S. Congress have continued to dominate news headlines that reveal who supports them. The poster children of the left who receive a great deal of left-leaning mainstream media attention are part of the “Squad.”

While liberal media continues to protect these politicians, other news outlets have been exposing them and the elitists who support them. The Squad and their comrades never seem to be able to keep a lid on their associations with leftist personalities.

The latest Squad member to get exposed was connected to a supporter who enjoyed the massacre of Israelis at the hands of terrorists. Now the Squad member is facing an even tougher challenge in his bid to retain his House seat.

Rep. Jamaal Bowman, who represents New York’s 16th Congressional District, attended the May 1 fundraiser at a private residence in Fairfax, Virginia, and didn’t seem to mind the presence of Nihad Awad, a highly controversial and antisemitic figure who serves as the national executive director and co-founder of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).

Awad faced sharp scrutiny last year after expressing his pleasure with the Hamas attack that resulted in the deaths of nearly 1,200 Israelis, including women and babies, and claiming Israel “does not have a right to self-defense.”

“And yes, I was happy to see people breaking the siege and throwing down the shackles of their own land and walk free into their land that they were not free to walk in,” Awad said during the 16th annual Convention for Palestine on Nov. 24 near Chicago.

Awad continued his antisemitic diatribe by saying the people of Gaza have a right to defend themselves but Israel, as an “occupying power” does not have the right to self-defense. Awad’s remarks were condemned by the White House in the “strongest terms.”

Before the fundraiser, Awad took to social media to praise Bowman as a “a staunch defender of Palestinian rights.” Awad asked people to attend the event and give money. Bowman then attended the event while Awad was there.

Bowman is facing a tough challenge from within his own party as the November election draws nearer.  The House representative is being challenged by fellow Democrat George Latimer a former New York State Assembly and state Senate member who now serves as a Westchester County executive.

Bowman and Latimer face off in a June 25 primary. Expectations are that the primary winner is the likely winner in November as the race is considered either “safe” or “solid” for Democrats. Republicans have fielded three candidates in the race with no expectation of an upset.
