From the moment Mike Johnson was elected as the next House Speaker, Democrats have been outraged.
The strong, likable conservative has been repeatedly slandered by the left.
Most recently, he attended an online meeting with the World Prayer Network. He discussed the current spiritual problems facing our nation. But when he gave this prayer, he set Democrats reeling.
“So we cry out to you, God! We do humble ourselves and pray. We repent for our sins individually and collectively. And we ask that you not give up on our nation, not give us the judgment that we clearly deserve, but that your mercy and grace would guide us through these terrible troubled waters and that you would heal our land.”
Democrats are apparently outraged that during a call with fellow Christians, Speaker Mike Johnson discussed the “dark and depraved” spiritual problems facing the United States. During a time of prayer, he asked God for mercy and asked for his help during these “terrible troubled waters.”
It appears Democrats are trying to twist Johnson’s prayer and words into something other than they are. Some have accused him of spreading “anti-gay rhetoric.” It appears they are commenting on his Christian faith and devotion to the Bible.
Democrats claim to be a party of tolerance and acceptance. But more often than not, they show shocking hostility to anyone who prays, shares their religious views, and celebrates the virtues of the Bible.
The liberal-leaning media was particularly shocked when Mike Johnson was elected speaker. They celebrated the removal of Kevin McCarthy, hoping the chaos spread by a few Republicans would tank the party.
Instead, Republicans selected a strong conservative Christian to preside over the House of Representatives. Johnson espouses values that have been shared by Americans for countless generations. Yet today, liberals are more likely to call someone a bigot, for saying they believe in the Bible.
- Democrats melted down after Speaker Johnson attended an online prayer event.
- Johnson called on God to show American mercy during these “troubled waters.”
- Liberals have been attacking Mike Johnson since he was elected, partly due to his Christian faith.
