Speaker Johnson Suddenly Under Heavy Fire – House GOP Accused of Epic Betrayal

Once again, Congress has been scrambling to keep the government open. A deadline was looming that could have resulted in a shutdown. Republicans have struggled to use these opportunities to slash the budget and save Americans money.

Now, a new spending package has been released. And it looks like House Republicans under Mike Johnson are caving to Democrats left and right. Tucked away in this massive, $1.2 trillion ticket, are major gifts to the woke left. First up is Joe Biden, who plans to use your money to push woke training through the DHHS.

From The Post Millennial:
Part of the $1.2 trillion spending package that was released around 2:30 am on Thursday is a little over $100 million to fund DEI trainings for the Department of Health and Human Services.

As part of the addendum for the DHHS, a section designated as “Training for Diversity” that is made up of funding for Centers of Excellence, the Health Careers Opportunity Program, Faculty Loan Repayment, and Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students amounts to over $100 million.

Biden wants over $100 million for the Department of Health and Human Services to use for DEI training. DEI is code for race-based, woke ideology. Tax dollars will be spent on training government employees to adopt what is essentially a politically-based religion.

But that’s just the beginning. Democrat Sen. John Fetterman was able to squeeze in a measure that gives him $368,000. What for? A podcast.

From The Post Millennial:
In the 1,000+ page and $1.2 trillion dollar spending package to fund the government through fiscal year 2024, Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) made an earmarked request to fund the “Built by Us” podcast with $368,000. The podcast has 101 subscribers on its YouTube channel.

Fetterman wants over a quarter of a million dollars for a podcast that has 100 viewers on YouTube. Podcasts are remarkably easy to produce and require very little funding, which is why so many people can make them.

It has to be asked why a senator–who has access to many people and resources–needs so many tax dollars for a podcast that nobody is watching.

That’s not even the end of it. Yet another addition to this bill includes over $9 million in earmarks… for a dead senator.

From The Post Millennial:
Earmarks amounting to at least $9 million in the $1.2 trillion spending package pushed out at 2:30 am on Thursday morning are requested from deceased California Senator Dianne Feinstein. The observation may raise questions about the process by which the spending package was brought forward.

Sen. Feinstein died last year. Yet, somehow, requests from the late senator ended up in this year’s spending package. Nearly $9 million from taxpayers could end up going to funding which was requested by a dead woman.

Nobody bothered to review or remove these requests? Is the process for putting together a funding package by Congress so sloppy, that they can’t even update requests from dead people?

There are restaurant reservation systems better organized than this. Yet these lawmakers are trying to mortgage America’s future by spending $1.2 trillion we don’t have.

Key Takeaways:

  • The new spending bill from Congress contains numerous gifts to the woke left.
  • Biden wants $100 million for DEI training for the DHHS.
  • Sen. John Fetterman wants over $300,000 for a failed podcast.
  • There is $9 million in earmarks from the late Sen. Feinstein, who died last year.
