In the battle for the soul of America, citizens have few allies. The D.C. swamp contains both Republicans and Democrats. And it seems there are far too many Republicans who side with the swamp, putting Americans last in the process. One of those swamp dwellers appears to be one particular RINO in the Senate.
This “Republican” opposed Trump during most of his presidency. This senator also opposed the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett, a respected judge, to the Supreme Court. Only through intense pressure has the party been able to convince this particular senator to put Americans—and their agenda—first.
And now, this senator is betraying her party once again to support a radical leftist to the Supreme Court.
From Fox News:
Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson will have at least one Republican backing her confirmation, as Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, said she will vote for her…
“After reviewing Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s extensive record, watching much of her hearing testimony, and meeting with her twice in person, I have concluded that she possesses the experience, qualifications, and integrity to serve as an Associate Justice on the Supreme Court,” Collins said in a statement. “I will, therefore, vote to confirm her to this position.”
Fair-weathered Republican, Sen. Susan Collins, torched her party (and the future of the Constitution) by announcing she’ll support Judge Jackson to the Supreme Court. Judge Jackson was facing intense scrutiny from other Republicans over her voting record and views on the law. It appears she is more of a progressive advocate than a balanced jurist.
Yet Collins appears to be putting all that aside. Why? To make the swamp happy. And to keep them from accusing her of racism in her purple state.
Collins even admitted that Jackson’s views do not match her own, yet she is supporting her anyway. Oh, I guess when Jackson gets on the court she’s suddenly going to vote Collins’ way? Or is the Republican overlooking her history of pushing radical views, including critical race theory, to support this activist?
The woman even refused to define the word “woman,” out of fear of what the radical left will say? Does that sound like a judge who will stand up for the law of the land—when the stakes are high? Collins claims that she got an assurance from Jackson that she would not allow her personal views to influence her decisions.
Oh, I guess that’s good enough for all of us! Even though this woman advocated for Gitmo prisoners. It seems like Collins cares more about fitting in with the corrupt D.C. establishment, than standing up for any Republican convictions.
I guess she thinks she’s safe after being re-elected in 2020. But voters won’t forget this.
- Republican Sen. Susan Collins announced she will support Biden’s SCOTUS nominee.
- Judge Jackson was grilled by other Republicans over her radical views.
- Collins is considered a “moderate” who often sides with Democrats over her own party.
