Senator Feinstein Blindsided by Her Own Party – She Never Thought They Would Dare

What’s Happening:

It’s becoming very clear that Democrat Sen. Feinstein has suffered more than just a bout with shingles. After missing 10 weeks of work, in the hospital, she returned in a wheelchair. Her office finally admitted that her ailments continue, including complications from her infection.

Numerous pundits and Republicans have questioned whether she is fit for office. Should this 89-year-old woman, who is not well, continue leading in the upper chamber of Congress? Her office seems to think she is fine. But a growing number from her own party think differently.

From The Hill:

A fifth House Democrat on Friday called for Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) to resign her seat after her return to Washington following a prolonged absence due to shingles.

Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-N.Y.) argued lawmakers should resign if they become “a shadow of your former self.” […]

Torres joins Reps. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), Dean Phillips (D-Minn.), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) in calling for Feinstein to leave the upper chamber.

Wow. A growing list of congressional Democrats is urging California Sen. Feinstein to resign. Many liberals wanted Feinstein to resign while she was missing. They were only eager to replace her so they could ram Biden’s agenda through the Senate.

But when she returned, it seems the party was satisfied. I guess most of them don’t care about a person’s well-being, as long as they can cast their vote.

Only five, so far, have called for Feinstein to resign, given her condition. Rep. Torres even claimed she is a “shadow” of her “former self.” That’s some pretty strong language.

In reality, someone that old, suffering from physical challenges, shouldn’t be handling critical issues in the Senate. Would you want to subject your grandmother or mother to such treatment? For anyone within the Democratic Party to think Feinstein should continue is fooling themselves.

Don’t be surprised if the calls only grow.

Key Takeaways:

  • A growing number of Democrats are calling for Sen. Feinstein to resign.
  • Feinstein missed 10 weeks of work due to a hospital stay.
  • Her office admitted she suffered complications, which seem to linger.
