Democrats are on the back foot ever since the 2022 midterms. They desperately need to ram through Biden’s reckless agenda–if they hope to win 2024. But they lost the House to Republicans, meaning the lower chamber will not be pushing through Biden-backed schemes.
But they have another problem in the Senate. Aging and sick Democrats keep dropping out of attendance. One of them, Sen. Dianne Feinstein has been out for so long, so want to kick her out for good. Schumer scrambled to come up with a scheme to keep Biden’s nominees rolling without her. But Graham had other plans.

Senate Republicans on Tuesday evening blocked a request from Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer to temporarily replace Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., on the Judiciary Committee so that committee has the numbers to advance President Biden’s judicial nominees.
Chuck Schumer wanted to fill Feinstein’s vacant seat on the Judiciary Committee, so he could ram Biden’s terrible nominees. Sen. Lindsey Graham opposed the move, preventing Schumer from sticking another Democrat onto the committee.
It will now take 60 votes in the Senate to approve his scheme, which is unlikely to happen.
Isn’t that interesting? Democrats are so eager to rush through with Biden’s questionable picks. They don’t even want Feinstein’s years of experience to help them decide if these nominees are qualified. Hmm… maybe Democrats just want bodies to cast votes, and they’ll take whomever they can use?
Why else is Schumer so eager to rush this? I guess because he fears what might happen as we near 2024. As we get closer to the election, Democrats run out of time to do anything to help their cause. They are known for rushing plans through before anyone can know what they are doing (remember Obamacare?).
But it only took Graham to stand up to Schumer to stop Democrats, this time. If they really want to replace Feinstein, then the senator needs to just step down. She has announced her retirement after this term. It doesn’t seem she is willing to leave, though, until the term is through.
