What’s Happening:
It’s no secret that Joe Biden has been milking the COVID pandemic to get as much money out of the government as possible. For some reason, Biden hasn’t realized that these “emergency funds” are no longer needed. Companies are back to work. People are leaving their houses and aren’t—gasp!—wearing masks. Yet Biden has demanded billions more, despite the fact so much of his spending was wasted or used on other issues.
Republicans have had enough. They are moving to end Biden’s reign of terror. In fact, they managed to pass a bill in the Senate to end Biden’s so-called emergency. But Comrade Joe issued a threat to ensure this pandemic won’t end until he says it’ll end.
From Politico:
A bill by Senate Republicans to terminate the national emergency declaration for the Covid-19 pandemic passed 48 to 47 Thursday on a party-line vote.
While the legislation has a slim chance of passing the Democrat-controlled House and President Joe Biden has already threatened to veto the bill, the vote is yet another rebuke of the administration’s pandemic policies at a time it is seeking billions from Congress to keep them going for several more months.
Joe Biden threatened to veto a measure from the Senate to end the COVID state of emergency. This declaration is what Biden’s using to demand billions of dollars. What is he using this money for? We’re not quite sure. We had trouble getting testing for months. The numbers are going down. Businesses can’t rightfully ask for money over lockdowns anymore. What is Biden up to?
The veto threat ensures Biden can keep the emergency going for as long as he wants. But if he thinks he can keep draining money from taxpayers’ pockets, he’s dreaming. Congress is not likely to grant more requests for COVID funding at this point. The winds have changed over the last two years. And many Americans are no longer fearing this bogeyman. And they certainly don’t want Biden spending any more money to “slow the spread.”
If Biden has taught us anything, it’s that he’s not qualified to “shut down” this pandemic. He failed to reach his goal on July 4th, 2021. And he followed that up with a shocking series of mandates that violated Americans’ rights. Does he really think he can get enough lawmakers on board to steal more money from America?
Key Takeaways:
- Senate passes a resolution to end Biden’s COVID state of emergency.
- Biden promised to veto the bill if it ever reaches his desk.
- This comes as the administration demands billions more from Congress.
