Donald Trump is taking all the credit for hitting the liberal state.
Cities and states run by Democrats are doomed. They abused federal tax loopholes for years, hoping their rich residents would pay more in state taxes.
Then they use those taxes to protect border jumpers from ICE and make their state less safe.
But with Trump’s historic tax cuts, those tax loopholes are gone. So, there’s no reason for the rich to stick around in these terribly-run, corrupt states.
And one major liberal state is already feeling the pinch.

New York State is facing a $2.3 billion budget deficit, and Gov. Andrew Cuomo believes it’s largely due to the Trump administration’s tax reforms which, on the “flip side,” have taxed the rich and may be encouraging wealthy residents to leave.
President Trump’s Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which takes effect for the 2018 tax year, places a cap on the state and local tax deduction (known as SALT) that Americans can take…
“We’ve set up reserves, but this is worse than we had anticipated,” Cuomo said at a state Capitol news conference in Albany on Monday after referring to the fiscal situation as being “as serious as a heart attack.”

Cuomo can blame Trump all he wants, but it’s actually his fault, period.
The governor has run the state into the ground. His sanctuary policies and terrible stance on crime have made the region absolutely unlivable.
His bloated social programs have only increased the cost of living for everyday New Yorkers.
The only recourse was to raise taxes on the rich, hoping the SALT deductions would balance everything out.
But Trump took away those deductions, penalizing states with exorbitant tax rates. He’s happy to see job creators head to more reasonable, competitive states, forcing bad actors like New York to get their act together.
Now many citizens have to pay DOUBLE taxes, both to the feds and to greedy, liberal states. The obvious solution is to get out fast—leaving places like New York in a bind.
You know, Cuomo could lower taxes and reduce the insane costs of the liberal state. Maybe cut all that bloated aid he dishes out in free healthcare and other services to border jumpers.
Families cut back and budget. Why can’t this Democrat do the same?
Instead, he wants to spend, spend, spend and expects the rich to bail him out. Sorry, only a crazy person would stick around New York.
Which means Cuomo will pass on those taxes to the middle and working classes. Forcing more families to leave.
I’m not weeping over that.
