In New York, Governor Andrew Cuomo just made it legal for your own family to take away your Second Amendment rights.

Buffalo News reports that the law allows that “family members, school administrators and law enforcement officials can seek to get guns confiscated from people deemed by courts to be an ‘extreme risk’ to themselves or others.”
So Sanctuary New York Governor Andrew Cuomo thinks he can take away guns from anyone the courts deem dangerous.
I’m sure I don’t have to tell you gun control laws don’t prevent shootings or crime.

Every state with strict gun control has the worst gun violence. It’s because law-abiding citizens are defenseless against criminals.
Criminals who, by the way, don’t follow gun laws.
That’s exactly how it played out in Sanctuary California:
California has a similar confiscation law and it did not prevent the November 7, 2018, Borderline Bar & Grill shooting. Illinois has a red flag / firearm confiscation law, too, and it did not prevent the February 15, 2019, shooting at the Henry Pratt Company.
This new law signed by Cuomo isn’t about stopping the rampant crime in New York. It’s about scaring Americans into taking guns away from their family or friends.
It is another attack on one of our most fundamental rights. This law makes someone guilty before they do anything wrong.
It presumes a person is a criminal, just for owning a gun. It does nothing to stop actual criminals from acquiring weapons, nor will it protect citizens, should they be attacked.
But it was never about protecting Americans, was it?
Cuomo is okay with a New York overrun with crime. He wants to manipulate scared and defenseless citizens.
