The Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy has said some shocking things over the years. This one, however, might just take the cake!
Kennedy is making headlines today for all the wrong reasons after he surprisingly admitted to previously dumping a dead bear in New York City’s Central Park. Yes, you read that correctly!
Kennedy took to social media to release a video of himself talking about the incident to the comedian Roseanne Barr. He wanted to get his side of the story out there before The New Yorker releases an upcoming piece about what allegedly went down.
From Breitbart News:
As noted by the San Francisco Chronicle, the female black bear was “discovered in bushes and partially covered by a bicycle in October 2014, prompting an investigation into the circumstances that never revealed answers, at least publicly, until Sunday.”In the video, Kennedy spoke with Roseanne Barr about dumping the bear, saying he scooped the animal up after witnessing a woman hit it with her van. While laughing, Kennedy said he hoped to skin the bear and later eat it. However, as the hours passed, he ran out of time and devised a plan to abandon the bear in Central Park alongside an old bicycle he had in his van. At the time, the city had been dealing with an uptick in bicycle accidents.
“The next day, it was on every television station,” Kennedy told Barr. “Luckily, the story died down after a while.”
Kennedy had explained to Barr that his plan was to stage the bear as if it had been hit by the bike.
“I wasn’t drinking, of course, but people were drinking with me who thought this was a good idea,” Kennedy said. “So we went and did that and we thought it would be amusing for whoever found it, or something.”
Afterwards, however, Kennedy began to fear that he would be caught.
“I was worried because my prints were all over that bike,” he later admitted.
Though police did test the bites for finger prints, the mystery was never solved until now.

Mainstream Media Targeting Kennedy
This is certainly one shocking admission! However, we can easily see why Kennedy would want to get ahead of The New Yorker’s coverage of it.
Given the Kennedy family’s long history with the Democratic Party, the left is terrified that this Kennedy will end up stealing some votes away from Kamala Harris, should he gain any traction in the presidential race. That’s why there has been an increase in negative stories about Kennedy as of late in an attempt to make him look as crazy as possible.
Just last month, Vanity Fair published a report accusing Kennedy of eating a dog in South Korea, citing an old photo of him. Kennedy fired back by pointing out that in the photo in question, he was actually eating a goat.
“The DNC media’s garbage pail journalism may distract us from President Biden’s cognitive deficits but it does little to elevate the national debate or reduce the price of groceries,” he said in response.

Hey @VanityFair, you know when your veterinary experts call a goat a dog, and your forensic experts say a photo taken in Patagonia was taken in Korea, that you’ve joined the ranks of supermarket tabloids. Keep telling America that up is down if you want. I’ll keep talking about… pic.twitter.com/SGX3QpoaRZ

Kennedy’s Past Worm Claim
Even so, Kennedy has given the media tons of material to choose from to make him look a bit looney. Indeed, he has said and done some very surprising things in the past.
Back in May, the New York Times reported that Kennedy had claimed that a health issue that he experienced in 2010 “was caused by a worm that got into my brain and ate a portion of it and then died.” This reportedly led to “memory loss and mental fogginess so severe that a friend grew concerned he might have a brain tumor.”
“I have cognitive problems, clearly,” Kennedy admitted in a 2012 divorce deposition. “I have short-term memory loss, and I have longer-term memory loss that affects me.”
When The Times asked if this past mental issue could impact his ability to be president, he had the perfect response.
“That is a hilarious suggestion, given the competition,” he said. At the time, Joe Biden was still in the race.
In the end, Kennedy has virtually no chance of winning this election. While it initially seemed like he would have a shot at taking some Democratic voters away from Harris, the media’s constant reports on some of his nuttier comments are making that less likely by the day.
Kennedy’s latest admission about the dead bear will certainly do nothing to help that.
