What’s Happening:
We are getting very close to a lame-duck session for Joe Biden. Once Republicans take over the House, old Joe won’t get anything passed unless he works with the GOP. Of course, he is unlikely to do that.
But even before we enter the new year, it looks as if Biden is already hitting a wall. Democrats are desperate to pass a spending bill before the year is out. This one will provide funding for our military, a must-pass measure. But several Republican senators refuse to support it unless this one rule is struck down.
From Just the News:
Senate Republicans says they’ll withhold their support for the National Defense Authorization Act if they don’t get a vote on ending the military’s COVID-19 vaccination mandate for service members…
Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul said the group will not vote to get on the NDAA “unless we have a vote on ending this military vaccine mandate.”
Firebrand Rand Paul is leading a charge to block the passage of the National Defense Authorization Act until Biden’s mandate against the Armed Forces is revoked. Despite all the time that has passed, Biden is still forcing our soldiers to get the COVID vaccine.
Biden’s insane mandates have been overturned in courts for all sectors, but the military. Challenges have been taken to the courts repeatedly. But judges have refused to fully overturn these mandates across all branches of the military.
Seven Republican senators are vowing not to vote on this bill. If the rest of the party defies them, the bill can get passed. Paul needs most Senate Republicans to join together, to deprive Biden of his 60-vote threshold.
Who could stand in his way? Mitch McConnell, of course. The RINO seems more concerned with making Biden happy than doing what is right. McConnell constantly caves to the left, especially when spending is concerned.
He overlooks serious problems with Biden’s decisions. Even when Republicans have leverage, Mitch caves and gives Democrats whatever they want.
If Republicans are going to end the vaccine mandate to help our troops, every last Senate Republican needs to join.
Sadly, there are too many RINOs in the ranks.
Key Takeaways:
- Seven Senate Republicans are vowing to block a military funding bill over Biden’s mandate.
- They will not support the bill unless Biden’s mandate is revoked.
- The courts have struck down his other mandates, but not for the Armed Forces.
