Red State Governor Launches ‘State of Emergency’ – Just Days After Non-Peaceful Protests Break Out in Major City of Atlanta

What’s Happening:

Democrats really don’t get it. They think they can get away with their antics anywhere in the country. Apparently, leftists assume that if they can break the law in Portland, they can do the same everywhere else.

Some learned the hard way last week that violent disruptions don’t go over nicely with folks in the South. The Georgia attorney general went after Antifa after they attacked cops, promising to prosecute them as domestic terrorists. Apparently, the left did learn their lesson. Because they started trouble in the same city.

And the governor just dropped the hammer of justice on them.

From The Hill:

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) on Thursday declared a state of emergency in response to a series of protests in Atlanta that turned violent last weekend.

Kemp called for up to 1,000 members of the Georgia National Guard and made “all resources” available to respond to the protests in which six people were arrested on Saturday. The state of emergency will be in effect through the end of Feb. 9 unless Kemp extends it.

Huh, you’d think by now that these violent protestors would figure out that they shouldn’t try to destroy Atlanta. Already the Georgia attorney general vowed to prosecute Antifa members who attacked cops.

Now, folks rioting in the city will face 1,000 Georgia National Guards. And these guys don’t play nice. I’m sure these rioters were expecting local cops who would struggle to throw them into jail. And then, they’d get out after some celebrity posted their bail.

Instead, they have to deal with the National Guard. The media can say all they want about these “peaceful protests.” But Americans know the score. All these “peaceful protests” have left cities in the North in ruins.

Leftist protestors have burned down courthouses, police stations, businesses, and homes. This is not about justice for anyone. These are anarchistic babies having temper tantrums. They only spread more pain and bloodshed.

But the Republican governor is not standing for it. The National Guard will quickly bring peace. And maybe, just maybe, these morons will learn they can’t get away with riots.

At least not outside the West Coast.

Key Takeaways:

  • Violent riots broke out in Atlanta, following Antifa attacks on police.
  • Kemp declared a state of emergency and called up 1,000 National Guard.
  • Leftist rioters get away with spreading violence in blue Northern cities, but not down South.
