Why do Democrats feel fit to dictate how they should spend taxpayer money? Wasteful spending on equity is the name of the game, and Democrats are always coming up with new ways to keep doing so.
Pete Buttigieg has a plan to fight sexism from his position as Department of Transportation Secretary. His friends at the House Appropriations Committee are all too happy to agree with him. If you believe his proposal for the fiscal 2024 budget, it’s as if inflation and government spending are not huge issues we need to minimize, and there’s always more where that came from – taxpayer money, that is.
From the Washington Examiner:
The Department of Transportation asked for the $20 million “to support cutting-edge safety and accessibility research initiatives,” which include developing test dummies “that represents small-sized adult females.”
The $20 million would also be used to support research on “the impact of driver distraction from in-vehicle technology interfaces” and on vehicle design considerations to improve accessibility for people with disabilities, according to the proposed plan.
You see, Buttigieg believes that car crash testing is biased against women. Apparently, current crash test dummies are all male, so safety features are only made with males in mind. We should be desperate to have female crash test dummies. So desperate, in fact, that it’s set to the cool tune of $20 million.
Who would have thought using cell phones or doing other types of distracted driving was something exclusive to women? Or that female crash test dummies could cost so much? Americans also have an obesity problem, so “disability” can simply mean obesity from a bad diet and a sedentary lifestyle.
You can never tell with Democrats who can’t even say what a woman is. Welcome to a postmodern world.
While they are busy finding more excuses to throw caution to the wind and do away with millions of taxpayer dollars, the rest of us are going through costly gas and food prices. We are experiencing a push by Democrats to further integrate technology into our lives, which will increase distraction, and then they will say we need to do more testing to improve said technology.
Have you ever seen technology that stopped the user from being distracted by it? I haven’t. Technology is inherently distracting to a degree, and the choice to be distracted while driving is what computer repairmen call a “user error.”
Most car accidents are preventable with negligence as the cause, not vehicle design, or sexist men. But I guess when you’re a Democrat with taxes as your cash cow, you can make up something you need them for and if it sounds important enough, you’ll get it.
