Beer company Bud Light has faced strong backlash after it “went woke” to partner with a transgender personality. The company is reportedly already losing business, as customers are turned off by the political move.
But Bud Light wasn’t always so “woke.” It wasn’t even politically correct.
Back in the 90s, the iconic beer company pushed the envelope to sell beer and entertain viewers. One of those TV ads has resurfaced in the wake of this transgender fiasco. And you won’t believe what Bud Light was doing back then!
From Daily Wire:
Anheuser-Busch took some serious heat after announcing a marketing partnership between popular product Bud Light and trans-identifying influencer Dylan Mulvaney — but a recently-resurfaced Bud Light commercial paints a very different picture.
The ad, which first aired in 1994, showed a group of men who were dressed as women in order to secretly enter a women’s pool tournament in which the prize was Bud Light.
Talk about irony! Not only was Bud Light unafraid to be un-PC back then, but they actually predicted what is going on today in women’s sports! The ad features large, bearded men, dressed up as women, in order to compete in a pool tournament.
The hook, of course, is that they are so eager to win free Bud Light, that grown men would pretend to be women to do it. Obviously, the men destroy the real women competing and score Bud Light.
How far the company has fallen! Today, they are unironically supporting a man who is pretending to be a woman. And in America, numerous men have started competing in women’s sports, dominating biological women because of their physical advantages. And Democrats are in full support of this stupidity!
This is what Democrat politics does to the human brain. It makes it very stupid. Bud Light, run by what we assume are left-wing Democrats, is trying to convince us that Dylan Mulvaney is an appropriate icon for biological women. The company doesn’t even realize how idiotic that sounds.
And they make no apologies, even as women and former Bud Light customers boycott the brand. Bud Light wouldn’t have been so dumb to do this back in the 90s. They were even brave even to air this kind of silly, entertaining ad.
A Bud Light ad from the 90s has recently gone viral, in light of the recent controversy.
The ad shows men dressed like women to compete in a women’s only pool tournament.
This comes as customers boycott Bud Light for partnering with a transgender personality.
