Woke NHL Blindsided by Player Mutiny – And They Admit It Could Lead to Cancelling Pride Nights

What’s Happening:

Americans have had to stomach major sports leagues forcing “woke” nonsense on them for some time. It started with football players insulting our National Anthem by kneeling. But it didn’t end there. The NBA started playing the “black national anthem” before games. Most major leagues now, in some way, try to force the woke religion onto fans.

Even the National Hockey League is trying to go woke. For some strange reason, the league is forcing players to wear jerseys with the gay pride colors. Teams are being required to have “Pride Nights.” They say it’s to be “inclusive” to their gay fans. In reality, it is so the NHL earns its “woke chip” from the left. More than a few players refuse to wear the jerseys. Now, the league might be folding.

From The Post Millennial:

In response to an increasing number of players engaging in silent protests against the NHL’s Pride Nights, a new report claims the league is re-evaluating the events which may lead to them being canceled…

League commissioner Gary Bettman said in an interview with CTV News when asked about the players that have refused to wear Pride-themed jerseys this season, “This is the first time we’ve experienced that, and I think it’s something that we’re going to have to evaluate in the offseason.”

Wow. Score one for the good guys! A growing number of NHL players have refused to wear the gay pride jerseys over their religious beliefs. They view the shirts as a form of endorsement for a movement and way of life they do not support.

In any other job, you could take your company to court for trying to force you to wear something that violates your religion. Imagine if a company tried to force a Muslim woman to take off her hijab! Imagine the lawsuits!

Yet the NHL and many of its teams thought it could force Christian players to wear shirts that trampled on their beliefs? How is that okay?

If the NHL really wants to welcome everyone, why force Christians to do something they don’t believe in? Why do they feel the need to virtue signal to the radical left, leaving the rest of America in the dust?

Hopefully, this protest will result in an end to this obvious leftist pandering.

Key Takeaways:

  • The NHL might end their “Pride Nights” over players’ protests.
  • Hockey teams were forcing players to wear jerseys with the gay pride colors.
  • Numerous players refused, saying it violated their Christian beliefs.
