The former President Donald Trump officially accepted the 2024 Republican presidential nomination with an epic speech at the Republican National Convention on Thursday night. Unsurprisingly, the mainstream media immediately lost their minds over Trump’s remarks.

However, the one aspect of his speech that they’ve specifically taken issue with is nothing short of ridiculous.

The actual content of Trump’s speech was of such a high quality that the leftwing media was left scrambling to find something about it to criticize. With nothing else to attack, they decided to have a full meltdown over the length of the speech. They claimed that Trump spoke for too long despite the fact that RNC attendees were clearly hanging on his every word until the very end.

You likely won’t be shocked to learn that one of the biggest liberal meltdowns came from Rachel Maddow. Minutes after Trump’s speech ended, the MSNBC host spoke out to whine about how long it had gone on.

Biden Could Never Speak For This Long

If Biden were tasked with giving a speech even close to the length of the one that Trump gave last night, it would be full of both gaffes and unintelligible ramblings. Even the teleprompter would not be enough to get Biden through this speech, due to just how far his cognitive decline appears to have gone.

Maddow’s remarks on Trump’s speech show that the mainstream media is truly grasping at straws at this point. Trump’s speech last night was a call for unity. Instead of attacking Biden, Trump used his speech to urge Americans everywhere to come together.

This did not sit well with Maddow and her colleagues in the mainstream media. They have been working overtime to portray Trump as a wannabe dictator who is out to divide us all. With this speech, however, Trump showed that this narrative could not be further from the truth.

Left with nothing else to criticize, Maddow was forced to resort to only complaining about how long Trump spoke. She can whine about that all she wants to. However, it’s safe to say that virtually nobody who actually listened to Trump’s full speech will agree with her.
