Over the past few years, Delta Air Lines has become increasingly woke. It is one of many companies that has shamelessly submitted to the radical left’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) agenda.
Now, Delta has made a move that has shown that they are more woke than ever before. They’ve dropped just three words from their gate announcements that are sure to have you both enraged and disgusted.
Delta’s Chief Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Social Impact Officer Kyra Lynn Johnson has announced that the words “ladies and gentlemen” will be dropped from gate announcements moving forward. Delta is doing this because they feel that these words are simply not inclusive enough. Johnson explained that this is part of Delta’s efforts to “boldly pursue equity,” a strategy that has impacted every level of the company.

“So we’re beginning to take a hard look at things like our gatehouse announcements. You know, we welcome ‘ladies and gentlemen.’ And we’ve asked ourselves, ‘Is that as gender inclusive as we want to be?’” Johnson said during a February 2021 panel with other DEI insiders. “You know, we’re looking at some legacy language that exists in some of our employee manuals. And getting to the root of the way some things are described and saying, ‘Does that actually send a message of inclusivity?’”Delta released an inclusive language guide in December 2020 which advised employees and leaders against using terms that reinforce the notion that there are only two genders.
“Use gender-neutral language and pronouns. Do not use language that suggests a gender binary (male-female),” the Delta guide said.
It’s insane that we live in a time in which acknowledging that women are women and men are men is considered offensive, but here we are!
Delta Wants To Be ‘Anti-Racist’
This is all part of the left’s obsession with both gender and race. Indeed, Johnson has also opened up about her quest to ensure that Delta is an “anti-racist” company.

Also, during the DEI panel in 2021, Johnson stressed how it was important to Delta to be an “antiracist company.”“To really come out and say, as an organization, that we are an antiracist company was really important to us,” she said. “We are going to actively seek diversity. We’re also talking about how we’re going to boldly pursue equity. And we’re talking about the steps we’re taking to consciously promote inclusion.”
Given the recent Boeing safety issues, Delta should have far bigger things to worry about than DEI. Instead of focusing on being as woke as possible, perhaps Delta officials should focus on ensuring that they’re keeping their passengers alive.
Delta has long been known as one of the most popular airlines in the world. However, they shouldn’t be surprised if they soon learn the hard way that the phrase “go woke, go broke” is very real indeed. Consumers everywhere have had enough of the wokeness. The left’s obsession with gender and race has gone way too far.
In the end, when people fly Delta, they just want to get to their destination safely. What they don’t want is to have woke propaganda shoved down their throats.
