Liberals Just Lost Their Holy Grail – Red State Overrides Governor Veto, Closes Them Down

What’s Happening:

Despite Joe Biden pushing radical policies in D.C., conservatives at the state level have scored major victories over the last year.

Red states have struck a blow in the left’s biggest prize. Their “holy grail” has suffered huge defeats thanks to laws passed in numerous states.

The liberal Governor of Kentucky tried to shut down a similar law. But the Republican majority just took him to task. And the state’s two abortion clinics are shutting down.

From Fox News:

The Republican-dominated Kentucky state House and Senate each voted to override Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear’s veto on an abortion bill Wednesday, a move that is expected to temporarily shutter the two abortion facilities that currently operate in the state.

The liberal governor of Kentucky, Andy Beshear, vetoed a recent pro-life bill that outlawed abortions. But, thankfully, the Republican majority in the state legislature overrode his veto.

That will result in the state’s two abortion clinics shutting down. Because the bill is an “emergency measure,” it will go into effect immediately.

To sure be, abortion zealots will try to block this bill. The governor himself will try to find ways to undermine it.

But something tells me Kentucky residents don’t appreciate their governor pushing pro-abortion policies. This might very well come back to haunt him, come re-election time.

Kentucky is following numerous states who recently passed strict pro-life bills. Texas, Florida, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and others passed similar bills.

Democrats are reeling from so much movement for the pro-life cause. The Supreme Court continues to deliberate on some of these laws.

We’ll find out what happens when they eventually give a ruling.

Do you think lawmakers should shut down abortion clinics?

Key Takeaways:

  • Kentucky lawmakers overrode a veto by their Democrat governor.
  • They voted to put into place a new pro-life bill restricting abortion.
  • Many Republican states have passed similar laws recently.
