Liberal Activists Just Desecrated American History – Look What They Did in Washington, D.C.

Climate activists have become increasing pests in recent years. Their obsession over climate alarmism has motivated many of them to do indefensible things. Some climate activists have stormed museums, desecrating priceless works of art.

Others have disrupted city bridges, highways, and stores—all in the name of forcing the government to enact far-left climate policies.

But a group of climate activists have arguably gone too far. Recently, two men stormed the U.S. National Archives. And they attempted to destroy one of the most important pieces being held in this federal building.

From The Post Millennial:
The US Constitution in the National Archives was desecrated by climate activists on Wednesday. The activists dumped red powder over themselves as well as the case that held the document.

The two activists were arrested within a few minutes, according to journalist Ford Fischer.

The activists said that they wanted to engage in and “foment a rebellion” and that “only wealthy white men” have the rights enshrined in America’s founding document.

In a move that many will call indefensible, two climate alarmists entered the National Archives and tried to destroy the U.S. Constitution. They dumped red powder on themselves and the case the historic document is being kept in.

From video footage of the incident, it does not seem that the original founding document of the country was harmed. Yet the activists certainly tried to damage the Constitution with their act.

The two men were spouting common talking points from the radical, far left. They admitted they wanted to “foment a rebellion” against our country and way of life. They claimed “only wealthy white men” have rights protected in the Constitution, despite what the text actually says.

Ironically, both activists appeared to be white men. Many far-left activists are white and come from rich families. They can spend their time stirring up controversy and engaging in protests because they do not have to work to make a living.

We don’t know this to be the case with these two men. But their actions against the Constitution and their slander of the document puts them in league with radical Marxists. They are not so much interested in “saving” the planet, but in remaking America in the image of Soviet Russia.

Key Takeaways:

  • Two climate alarmists tried to damage the Constitution in the National Archives.
  • The radical leftists stormed the room and dumped red powder over the document’s case.
  • They were calling for “rebellion” against the founding document and American way of life.
