What’s Happening:

Kamala Harris has taken a brief time-out from laughing hysterically and making crazy faces at reporters’ questions so she can pretend to say something again. While normal politicians care about how the public receives their speeches and work to improve them, Kamala seems to be on a mission to give the most mock-worthy statements she can. 

It is far from the first time she has spoken nonsense and caused the public to experience secondhand embarrassment. But the statement she made recently was so far out, conservative commentators are cringing after the VP’s high-profile speech. 

Not even her three chief speechwriters could save her, as nobody in their right mind enjoys having a politician talk to them like they’re corporate stooges rather than everyday people. Talk radio host Buck Sexton tweeted,” Every Kamala speech somehow sounds like the most brutally boring corporate HR seminar imaginable.”  Here’s what she said. From Fox News:

“I think it’s very important for us at every moment in time and certainly this one to see the moment in time in which we exist in our present and to be able to contextualize it, to understand where we exist in the history and in the moment as it relates not only to the past but the future.” 

That was supposed to be in response to abortion, voting, and LGBTQ rights, but it doesn’t make sense in any context whatsoever. You can understand why commentators like Steve Guest, Buck Sexton, and Matt Whitlock are making jokes about what she said and calling it “word salad” – because it is. 

According to Merriam-Webster, “word salad” is a term in psychology that means “unintelligible, extremely disorganized speech or writing manifested as a symptom of a mental disorder.” A word salad should be the last thing coming out of a politician’s mouth, but Kamala doesn’t see anything wrong with it. Her speech was so incoherent that Fox News host Laura Ingraham asked,”[…] While Joe is slipping into dementia, right, Kamala is slipping into another dimension?”  

I, too, question her capacity to hold office. It’s unacceptable that a politician, especially a VP, cannot speak normally. You would think if a president couldn’t handle speeches, their vice president would compensate. Then why is Kamala doing the complete opposite? 

The catch here is that she is VP for a reason that benefits Biden’s position as president. The Democratic party won’t make him step down. Even the GOP won’t force the issue, because she’s an even worse option. Kamala is Biden’s insurance policy, word salads and all.
