Democrats have spent much of the past decade claiming that Donald Trump and his supporters are a threat to democracy. In anointing Kamala Harris as Joe Biden’s replacement in this year’s presidential race without giving their own voters any say in the matter, however, Democrats have shown that they are the ones who are actually usurping democracy on a daily basis.

Now, this has come back to bite Harris and her fellow Democrats in a big way. On Monday, Harris was humiliated when a former advisor to Bill Clinton turned on her publicly.

Ex-Clinton advisor Mark Penn just slammed Harris for only agreeing to one presidential debate and ripping into her for avoiding the media. Indeed, Harris has only agreed to one presidential debate, which will be hosted by ABC News on September 10. She has additionally yet to sit down for a single interview or press conference since launching her campaign last month.

“I don’t know what kind of interview people do in these last couple of days here that’s going to be meaningful and set up going into the Labor Day weekend,” Penn said. “I suppose everything gets pushed online, but look, I think it’s unacceptable for candidates to go this period. In my book, there should be three presidential debates, not one. There should be position papers, not a donate page on your website. And you should be before the press every two or three days because if voters are not informed, then it’s not a democracy with real votes.”

A New Low For The Democratic Party

We already knew that the Democratic Party had no shame. However, this is a new low even for them.

Then again, they have been hiding Harris away as much as possible during her time as vice president, so we shouldn’t be too surprised.

After all, Harris has already made history by polling as one of the least popular vice presidents of all time. This makes it all the more surprising that Democrats would have the public believe that she became such a universally beloved politician seemingly overnight.

It’s become increasingly clear that if Harris actually does speak to the media, many Democrats will be reminded why most of them never liked her in the first place. The Democrat establishment can prop Harris up all that they want to, but when she has to actually speak for herself, her incompetence immediately becomes apparent.

In 2020, Democrats shamelessly used the COVID-19 pandemic to have Joe Biden run his campaign hidden away in a basement. Now, they are trying to hide Harris away in a similar way. Unfortunately for them, however, they don’t have a global pandemic to help them out this time.

Democrats can hide Harris away all they want for now, but she will eventually need to both give an interview and take the debate stage alone. They shouldn’t be surprised if support for her quickly plummets from there.
