Federal Judge Sends Trump Prosecutor Spinning – Issues Major Victory in Criminal Case

Donald Trump is currently facing four criminal cases. Many critics have accused Democrats of launching these trials over the 2024 Election.

One of the cases stems from a federal investigation into Trump’s alleged role in January 6.

The former president appealed to the court, demanding the case to be dismissed over “presidential immunity.” The court denied that request but made this surprising decision.

From The Post Millennial:
On Wednesday, Judge Tanya Chutkan placed a hold on proceedings in the January 6 case against Donald Trump.

Chutkan wrote in an order that an appeal filed by Trump’s team regarding presidential immunity “automatically stays any further proceedings that would move this case towards trial or impose additional burdens of litigation on Defendant.”

The judge presiding over Trump’s January 6 case placed a hold on the proceedings after an appeal by the former president. Because Trump demanded the case be dismissed because of presidential immunity, it “automatically stays any further proceedings.”

Jack Smith, the special counsel appointed to this case by Joe Biden’s DOJ, has appealed to the Supreme Court to take up the issue. It is possible that the final fate of this case will be decided by the highest court in the land.

Many have commented on the many cases thrown at Trump by Democrat prosecutors. The overwhelming number of trials Trump is juggling have convinced many Americans these are politically motivated. Some suggest that if Trump wasn’t running for office in 2024, Democrats would have not done this.

Democrats have long maintained that Trump is responsible for the events of January 6. Liberals claim the activity at the Capitol Building was an “insurrection.” Republican lawmakers have released documents refuting this claim, casting doubt on the left’s narrative.

Key Takeaways:

  • A federal judge placed a hold on the January 6 case against Donald Trump.
  • Trump demanded the case to be dismissed over presidential immunity.
  • Special Counsel Smith has appealed to the Supreme Court to fast-track the trial.
