After President Biden Gets Snubbed by the Vatican – Joe Insults Late Pope by Failing to Send Any Leadership to Vatican

What’s Happening:

Catholics around the world are mourning the loss of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, who died at the end of 2022. Benedict will be buried this week, during a ceremony led by the current pope, Francis. We learned recently that the Vatican did not invite Catholic President Joe Biden to attend the funeral.

But, as it turns out, the Church encouraged world leaders to pay their respects “in a personal capacity.” Many leaders from around the world traveled to Italy to honor the late pope, including heads of state from Europe and even royal families. Except, of course, for old Joe.

From Daily Wire:

Now ends the final day for pilgrims to pay their respects to Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, with Heads of State being among the estimated 200k to visit St Peter’s Basilica over the last three days. Listed among the world leaders were the presidents and prime ministers of Poland, Portugal, Germany, Italy, Hungary, and Slovenia, with royal families from Spain, Belgium, and Germany. Notably missing — leadership from the United States.

Nobody holds a grudge like a Democrat. And it seems, after the Vatican refused to officially invite Joe Biden to the funeral of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, he didn’t bother going to pay his respects at all.

That is after leaders from numerous European countries traveled on their own to Rome to honor the deceased. That also includes royalty from Spain, Belgium, and Germany. All of these leaders chose to go in a personal capacity to honor the late pope emeritus.

So, why didn’t Joe Biden go? Isn’t he Catholic? It’s not every day a former pope passes away. Benedict was a respected leader within the church who stepped down to allow the next pope to take office. He was admired by people within and without the church. His passing is a historical moment.

We wouldn’t expect a Protestant president to bother with this. But Biden frequently claims his Catholic faith is important to him. And we know he loves to take vacations out of D.C. You’d expect he would make a quick flight to St Peter’s and be done with it.

Is he really snubbing the Church because he wasn’t officially invited? We can’t say for sure. But this is an administration that is constantly screwing up–insulting world leaders and countries while neglecting problems at home. Biden’s office is so disorganized and lacking leadership, he might not even know Benedict has passed.

Shame on him.

Key Takeaways:

  • Joe Biden did not visit St Peter’s Basilica to honor the late Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI.
  • This comes as news came out that he was not officially invited to the funeral.
  • Numerous world leaders and royal families traveled to pay respects to the deceased leader.
