After Biden Makes GOP Social Security Claim – Bipartisan Senate Group Teams Up Against the President

What’s Happening:

There is nothing Joe Biden won’t say to help his failing presidency. Many times during the 2022 midterms, and since, Biden has made a wild claim against Republicans. Oh, we’re not talking about how he called them “threats against democracy.” On many occasions, Biden has accused Republicans of wanting to kill Social Security.

It’s a tired and cheap attack meant to scare retired Americans into voting for socialist Democrats. And it has never been proven true. Trump expanded SS benefits while in office, with the support of the GOP. Yet Biden keeps pushing this claim as a sleazy way of protecting his party. But now, a bipartisan team aimed at saving Social Security from bankruptcy, just dropped a bomb on old Joe.

From Fox News:

One of the leaders of a bipartisan Senate working group focused on extending Social Security accused President Biden of “not engaging” with them as they scramble for a way to keep the vital program solvent past its expected expiry in nine years…

“President Biden has never made himself available to hear about the Cassidy-King proposal to save Social Security from impending 24% benefit cuts,” Cassidy said. “Biden calls himself a deal maker; we can’t make a deal without him. By not engaging, the president is choosing that current retirees’ Social Security benefits are cut by 24%.”

What the heck? Biden has long attacked Republicans for trying to “cut” Social Security. But the very Senate team dedicated to saving the program says Biden refuses to meet with them. A group of both Republicans and Democrats are working on a solution to Social Security’s imminent collapse.

If nothing is done, the program will be out of money in just nine years. Not great for the millions of Americans who depend on the program for support. But the lawmakers revealed that they have not heard anything from Biden. And his refusal to meet with them had delayed their progress.

The group blasted Biden, saying his unwillingness to meet could result in current beneficiaries seeing a 24% cut. That is a drastic reduction in benefits, especially when you consider how much inflation has hurt retired Americans.

Biden talks big, but clearly he does nothing. He has no problem accusing Republicans of hurting Social Security, yet does nothing to actually fix the problem.

Heh, that’s just par for the course for this president. He ignores major crises that are hurting our country. His neglect and incompetence are putting every American in jeopardy. Joe desperately needs retired Americans’ votes. So, why isn’t he trying to help them?

Key Takeaways:

  • Bipartisan lawmakers revealed Biden refuses to fix Social Security.
  • Biden has not met with the group tasked with saving the program from collapsing.
  • Joe has previously accused Republicans of trying to cut Social Security benefits.
