Take about a perfect storm of incompetence! Democrats claim they are the only ones fit to lead the country. But whenever a crisis rears its ugly head, Democrats are caught flat-footed. For the second time in Biden’s administration, we have hit the debt ceiling.
Biden is demanding Congress blindly raise the ceiling, so he can continue to mortgage our future to China. But it’s clear that the Republican-controlled House will not just roll over and give Joe what he wants. Worse still, the deadline is just a day away. And Congress is MIA.

The new, Democrat-led Senate’s district work period runs from Jan. 4-Jan. 20, according to the legislative calendar. The Senate isn’t scheduled to return until Feb. 6. The GOP-led House is out of session until Jan. 24.
Give me a break. If the government hits the debt ceiling, portions of the government will shut down. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has refused to pass a bill raising the debt ceiling without negotiating a deal.
But Biden has made it very clear he will not negotiate over it. The White House is demanding Congress raise the debt ceiling “without conditions.” Biden wants a blank check to keep spending us into oblivion.
None of this matters, though. Because chambers of Congress are out with the deadline at the end of the week. Great job, you guys. You really know how to get things done!
It’s clear Democrats are trying to get Republicans to cave. They are digging in their feet, refusing to do anything as the deadline looms. They are expecting Republicans to do what they often do, panic and agree to something so the government doesn’t shut down.
But Republicans have no reason to cave to Biden. Old Joe’s been burning through cash for two years. And what has that gotten us? We can’t even buy eggs for crying out loud! Biden has run this country into the ground. Letting the government shut down for a few weeks might come as a refreshing surprise to many Americans.
All we can say is, Republicans better not give in.
