Since 2021, more and more Hispanic Americans are taking on leadership roles in America. Key elections have been decided by the Latino vote. And even in deep-red Texas, Hispanic voters are reshaping entire districts.
In fact, Texas was proud to elect the first Mexican-born American woman to Congress. This should be something all Americans celebrate, especially Democrats–who control the Hispanic Caucus in Congress. But this group rejected Mayra Flores’ request to join their group.
Why? Because she is a Republican.
From Daily Wire:
Rep. Mayra Flores (R-TX) on Wednesday blasted Democrats‘ “bias toward conservative Latinas” after it was reported that Flores, the first Mexican-born woman ever elected to Congress, was denied acceptance to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) because she’s a Republican.
As the first Mexican-born American Congresswoman, I thought the Hispanic Caucus would be open in working together. This denial once again proves a bias towards conservative Latinas that don’t fit their narrative or ideology. https://t.co/oqYjrGDJaU pic.twitter.com/ugqkKMk5sb

How interesting. It’s common for members of the House to form “caucuses” to advance issues they care deeply about. The Hispanic Caucus (like the Congressional Black Caucus) exists, we assumed, to support Hispanic Americans and their rights in the House of Representatives.
You’d think a group like this would be overjoyed to welcome the first Mexican-born American congresswoman. Yet, Mayra Flores was denied entry into this influential caucus. Why? There doesn’t seem to be any reasonable answer, except for the fact she is Republican.
Democrats have long cornered the whole “we support minorities” narrative. Most black Americans and Hispanic Americans voted Democrat because they believed the party would represent them the best in government. But these days, many black and Hispanic voters are ditching Democrats–thanks to Biden’s shocking failures.
Hispanics are ditching the Democratic Party faster than any other demographic. In Southern Texas, Hispanic-majority communities are electing Republicans at a record pace. In some areas, they elected Republican leaders for the very first time. This is because Biden and the Democrats have abandoned Hispanic Americans in favor of open borders and socialism.
Even as polls reveal Hispanics are flocking to the GOP, Democrats do nothing to win them back. The left sticks to the same tired, empty schemes to win votes. They lie, slander, and manipulate the issues. All the while ignoring the problems facing millions of Americans.
This rejection of Flores by the Hispanic Caucus proves that Democrats don’t seem to be interested in helping all Hispanic Americans. Flores blasted them, saying they only care about Latinas who align with their “narrative or ideology.”
So much for diversity, huh?
- The Hispanic Caucus rejected Mayra Flores because she is a Republican.
- Flores is the first Mexican-born American woman elected to Congress.
- Flores blasted the group for rejecting her over her political views.
