Major Agency Sent Scrambling Over Investigation – Letter Sent to Former Presidents and VPs from National Archives

What’s Happening:

If the Democrats hadn’t spent so much time going after Trump over classified documents, they wouldn’t be in so much trouble today. But, because they made a federal case out of it, sending the FBI to Trump’s home–they are now quaking in their boots.

Joe Biden faces a DOJ investigation for all the classified documents he improperly held onto. But it only gets worse from there. Barry Obama’s team is scrambling. He took over 30 million documents when he left office. I’m sure there are more than a few classified ones in that haul. Only one agency is to blame for this gross oversight. And now, they are desperately trying to cover their tracks.

From The Post Millennial:

The National Archives sent a letter on Thursday to former presidents and vice presidents formally asking them to check and make sure that they do not have any classified documents in their possession after former President Donald Trump, former Vice-President Mike Pence, and Joe Biden have all been found with classified documents in less than a year.

Lol, this is rich. It is the responsibility of the National Archives, a federal body, to preserve and protect documents from the government. That is doubly important when handling documents from a presidential administration.

But since word has gotten out that Biden, Pence, and Trump all had classified documents? It makes this agency look very bad. Why didn’t the National Archives bother to ensure all documents from these leaders had been recovered? Why don’t they have staff following up with former presidents, vice presidents, and cabinet members?

Because, like most government agencies, it is probably staffed with career bureaucrats that hardly work at all. They sit on their rumps and enjoy their easy jobs, never once thinking something like this could happen. Now, suddenly, the National Archives is getting called out for this gross neglect.

And the best they can do is send hasty letters to other former officials, asking to check for classified documents. But, let’s be honest. If former presidents and vice presidents could have these documents–what about everyone else?

I’d be shocked if, right now, every federal agency isn’t scrambling to recover its classified documents. Everyone from the CIA to the EPA is probably hounding its staff (and former staff) begging to recover all those documents they let slip through their fingers.

Because it won’t be long before Congress starts asking questions.

Key Takeaways:

  • The National Archives is asking former presidents and vice presidents to check for classified documents.
  • This comes as several former administration officials discovered they had classified documents.
  • Questions have been raised over Obama and the many documents he took from the White House.
