DeSantis Just Made a Secret Primary Move – The Governor Turns the Tables on 2024

What’s Happening:

We are only at the beginning of the Republican primaries. A few candidates have made their announcements. But we are only about to see how this thing will kick off. As the summer heats up, there will be rallies, debates, and other events. And voters will get to decide who should run in the general election.

Many have been wondering if there is a candidate that can take on Donald Trump. He is leading in the polls, but some fear he might lose to Joe Biden for a second time. All eyes are on Gov. Ron DeSantis, a man Trump greatly fears. And just now, Ron made a move that will shake up the election for good.

From The Post Millennial:

A new report has revealed that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) will officially begin his presidential campaign in Miami this Wednesday.

Invitations for the event, which reportedly will take place Wednesday at 4 pm, according to The Messenger, have been kept quiet, with the dress code described as “dressy casual resort wear.” It has been said that the paperwork for DeSantis’ campaign will already have been submitted once “the festivities” commence at 5 pm.

Wow. According to reports, DeSantis will announce his campaign much earlier than before. And he’s sent out secret invitations to supporters to an event happening this week. Many believe that this will be the moment DeSantis announces his campaign–and finally becomes Trump’s official rival.

Trump has been sending considerable time attacking his former ally. Many Republicans have been turned off by the wild accusations Trump has leveled at DeSantis–many of which appear false. Trump has both taken credit for DeSantis’s success and dismissed it.

It seems Trump knows DeSantis is the only Republican who can beat him in the primaries. While polling suggests Trump is in the lead now, much might change once DeSantis starts actively campaigning for president.

Trump might even skip the Republican primary debates, to avoid getting attacked by DeSantis and others. It’s unclear if Trump would take such a risk, but he might do it thinking he is safe.

We can’t predict what will happen once DeSantis enters the race. But one thing is sure, things are about to change.

Key Takeaways:

  • DeSantis might announce his presidential campaign at an event this week.
  • He has sent out secret invitations to supporters.
  • DeSantis continues to lead in the polls, a strong rival to Donald Trump.
