DeSantis Just Threw Down the Gauntlet – Warns 1 Group Their Insanity “Won’t Fly” in FL

Gov. Ron DeSantis has become the enemy of plenty. Mostly Democrats who have tried to force progressive policies onto the Sunshine State. DeSantis beat Joe Biden, Disney, and big-money campaigns to take his job.

Now, he’s setting his sights on a threat to Florida’s peace and safety.

Every year, people from all over the world descend onto Florida’s beaches to party. But this yearly celebration has become more than just fun in the sun. It has even attracted criminals and cartel members, who have spread violence and destruction. And DeSantis just put a stop to it.

From Daily Wire:
“If you’re coming here in order to enjoy Florida, enjoy it and have a good time, fine,” DeSantis, who was flanked by over a dozen law enforcement officers, said. “If you’re coming for these other reasons, if you’re committing crimes, causing havoc, you are gonna pay the price. And we will hold you accountable because that’s what we do here.”

“I know some people may be coming from other jurisdictions where they can get away with this type of activity. That is not gonna fly in the Sunshine State,” he continued.

Florida Gov. DeSantis announced resources to curtail potential crimes during Spring Break. As the seasonal event has become more and more popular, the danger of crime only grows.

College students reach the beach to party. But often the fun is ruined by rampant drug and alcohol abuse. Everything from drunk driving to drug dealing can go on. And locals, despite the boom in business, have long complained about the trouble.

Many communities have driven away Springbreakers by outlawing alcohol on their beaches. Now, the state will be mobilized to ensure the festivities won’t be ruined by crime.

DeSantis took a dig at other “jurisdictions” where such crimes might be tolerated. It’s unclear if he was referring to liberal cities, which have seen spikes in crime, or South American countries, which have long been accused of failing to uphold the law.

Key Takeaways:

  • DeSantis announced he was cracking down on crime during Spring break.
  • He warned that crime won’t be tolerated during the season.
  • This comes as millions of college students plan on traveling to Florida.
