Police have been clearing away these camps in many cities. But the protests at Columbia are only getting worse. The school’s inaction compelled donors to withdraw over $100 million in endowments. Now, the school has lost even more.

Anti-Israel protests escalated into chaos on Columbia University’s campus in the early hours of Tuesday morning as protesters smashed windows and infiltrated historic Hamilton Hall in footage caught on camera.

Calling the action an “escalation,” the group said protesters “have voiced their intention to remain at Hind’s Hall until Columbia concedes to CUAD’s three demands: divestment, financial transparency and amnesty.”

The radical protesters at Columbia (whom some believe are getting aid from foreign sources) have broken into Hamilton Hall and are barricading it. They refuse to leave until the school agrees to their demands, which involve divestment from Israel.

According to eyewitnesses, the protesters are becoming violent against other students. The hostility toward Jewish students only gets worse, as rabbis have warned students not to even go to campus, for fear of their lives.

The mayor of New York has denounced this protest, condemning the rising antisemitism. New York Police cleared away a similar encampment at NYU. But despite arresting a few agitators, the protest at Columbia continues with little intervention.

Similar protests have been quickly shut down on campuses in other states and cities. Other leaders, including liberals, will not tolerate protests that are inspiring violence against Jewish Americans. Yet for some reason, Columbia is doing seemingly little.

These protests across the nation are being encouraged by far-left professors, who filled students with hate against the one Jewish nation in the world. This has spilled into animosity against Jewish Americans. Some experts claimed outside influence are funding these encampments.
