These Hollywood Celebrities Swore They’d Leave America If Trump Won – ‘All Talk, No Walk’

Donald Trump came out victorious over Kamala Harris in the presidential election on Tuesday. This came as a massive shock to the liberal elites of Hollywood, many of whom pledged to flee the U.S. if Trump won again.

Hollywood’s leftwing elites are so out of touch with reality that they thought that there was no way that Trump could win this election. Indeed, they are clueless when it comes to the wants and needs of average Americans.

That’s why it came as a nasty surprise to many celebrities that Trump not only trounced Harris with the Electoral College, but also in the popular vote. Unfortunately for all of us, however, there is no indication that these stars will actually follow through with their promises.

From Fox News:
In a 2023 interview with the Guardian, Cher said, “I almost got an ulcer the last time. If he gets in, who knows? This time I will leave [the country].”

[Barbra] Streisand told host Stephen Colbert that she wouldn’t be able to “live in this country if he becomes president,” and admitted she’d probably move to England.

Representatives for Cher, Stone and Streisand did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Oh, the thought of Cher and Streisand no longer living in our country is a nice one, isn’t it? If they have any interest in keeping their respective promises and leaving, we’d even be willing to help them pack!

A third celebrity who promised to leave the U.S. if Trump is elected is Sharon Stone of Basic Instinct and Casino fame.

“I am certainly considering a house in Italy,” Stone said back in July. “I think that’s an intelligent construct at this time. This is one of the first times in my life that I’ve actually seen anyone running for office on a platform of hate and oppression.”

Like Cher and Streisand, however, Stone has said nothing about following through with this in the wake of Trump’s victory.

‘All Talk, No Walk’

Doug Eldridge, founder of Achilles PR, spoke out to say that celebrities swearing that they’ll leave the country over an election outcome has become a common phenomenon. They rarely, if ever, actually follow through, however.

“Every four years, you hear the same recycled rhetoric from celebrities,” Eldridge explained. “It’s become a running joke at this point. It’s ‘all talk, no walk.'”

During Trump’s first presidential run in 2016, celebrities who threatened to leave the country if he won included Whoopi Goldberg, Miley Cyrus, Amy Schumer, George Lopez and more. Sadly, each of these stars continue to live in the U.S. to this day.

Hollywood’s liberal elites despise Trump because unlike Democrat presidents like Barack Obama and Joe Biden, he doesn’t prioritize them. Instead, Trump is out to improve the lives of working class Americans everywhere. This doesn’t sit well with Hollywood stars, who want to make everything about themselves. Thankfully, this doesn’t matter to Trump one bit!

Only time will tell if Cher, Streisand, Stone, and their fellow liberal elites follow through with their promises to flee Trump’s America this time. While we’d be surprised if they did, we certainly wouldn’t be sad!

Key Takeaways:

  • Celebrities pledged to leave the U.S. if Trump won.
  • These stars include Cher, Barbra Streisand, and Sharon Stone.
  • These celebrities are “all talk, no walk.”
