It’s been one historic year. President Donald Trump actually made good on his promises. That rare to see from an elected official. But America’s trust in Trump was well-placed.
There are too many achievements to list all at once. One of the biggest was the appointment of Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch. Liberals said he couldn’t do it. Then he did.
Of course, there is the incredible economic growth. The DOW has hit record highs throughout the year. Few could have guessed it would only continue to rise over and over again. But it did, thanks to confidence in Trump’s plan.
This month saw the historic passage of tax cuts. Trump and GOP pulled out a big win for all Americans. We are already seeing the effects, as major companies announced bonuses and raises.
Now Trump has announced his plans for next year to physically “Make America great again.” Are you getting excited?
From Washington Examiner:
White House legislative affairs director Marc Short says President Trump is ready to roll out an infrastructure package in January…
Both parties do want to spend at least $1 billion to fix America’s roads, bridges, and railroads.
“There’s no doubt there is a pathway forward on this,” Short said on “Fox News Sunday.” “Both Democrats and Republicans say our infrastructure is crumbling, and we need to fix it. The big question is, will Democrats put politics aside and work with us?”
Short said Democrats need to meet the GOP — which controls the White House and Congress — “halfway.”
“Will they actually partner with us to try to do things for the American people?” Short asked.
The democrats were only a problem in 2017. These pathetic babies were still upset over the 2016 election. Even on bipartisan issues, like tax cuts, they refused to work with Trump. What will they do next year?
It’s clear they have a lot to lose. Many seats will be up for grabs in 2018. Do the democrats think they will succeed by resisting Trump?
An infrastructure bill will be the test. Everyone wants improved bridges, tunnels, and roads. We cannot function without a strong infrastructure. And democrats love spending cash, right? Wouldn’t they want to see a good infrastructure bill?
We don’t know for sure. Will their hatred for Trump prevent them from working with the GOP? A good bill will help rebuild America. It will prove that democrats believe in Trump’s plan to put America first. With cuts to such things like the U.N., we can get it done.
We’ll see if the democrats are will to grow up. I’m not going to hold my breath, though. They will refuse to work together, unless it makes Trump look bad. But that’s not possible.
The democrats might just prepare for more losing in the coming year.
