Blue State Judge Makes Constitution Ruling – Erases 1 Ban That Violates Your Top Right

In recent years, we’ve seen high courts rule on many Democrat-led policies. The SCOTUS has led the way striking down some of the left’s favorite pet agendas. But courts across the land have been taking a hard look at Democrats’ big-government platform.

And it appears they don’t like what they are seeing.

In one unlikely blue state, a superior court took to task a Democrat-led ban. The state had been angling to push this law for years. Many blue states support this kind of measure, which strikes at the heart of a constitutional right. And the superior court just issued a decision that will have patriots clapping.

From Breitbart:
Cowlitz County Superior Court Judge Gary Bashor on Monday found Washington state’s “high capacity” magazine ban violated both the U.S. Constitution and the state’s own constitution.

The Associated Press noted Bashor reached his decision by weighing the ban in light of the Supreme Court of the United States’ Bruen (2022) decision…

He issued an immediate injunction against enforcement of the “high capacity” magazine ban on Monday, blocking enforcement of the law.

However, Washington state Attorney General Bob Ferguson immediately appealed Bashor’s decision to the state supreme court and an emergency stay was issued, allowing the ban to be enforced while an appeal plays out.

Thanks to the U.S. Supreme Court, a superior court in Washington overturned a high-capacity magazine ban. Gun control advocates have long sought to ban magazines that hold ten or more rounds. This is one of many measures meant to “reduce” gun violence, but also limit Americans’ Second Amendment rights.

The court banned the law, citing the historical 2022 ruling from the Supreme Court. The court overturned a New York State law that restricted gun access. That ruling has led to multiple lawsuits and movements to overturn other states’ gun restrictions.

The leftist attorney general, however, quickly moved to appeal the decision. This put a stay on the ruling, allowing the ban to stay in place. The fate of this law will reach the state supreme court. It is unknown how the court will rule on this law.

Key Takeaways:

  • A Washington court ruled against a high-capacity magazine ban.
  • This comes after the Supreme Court’s ruling against gun control laws.
  • Democrats have long tried to ban high-capacity magazines.
