What’s Happening:

Isn’t it odd how Democrats keep ignoring the crime epidemic in their own cities? For years, they’ve gone out of their way to slash police budgets. And they don’t seem to see how that has resulted in massive crime sprees.

In some cities, small businesses are collapsing. These business owners can’t afford to stay open, pay their employees, or feed their children. In the worst situations, they can’t even assure their customers that they won’t be robbed at gunpoint (this is in AMERICAN). So, one gas station owner is exposing his blue city’s failure–but taking matters into his own hands.

A north Philly owner was tired of being robbed and having to deal with criminals in the lawless city of brotherly love, so he’s taken matters into his own hands.

Since the police and the Democrat city government won’t do anything about the crime he has stationed his own security outside of his stores…

“They are forcing us to hire the security, high-level security, state level,” Patel told FOX 29. “We are tired of this nonsense; robbery, drug trafficking, hanging around, gangs.”

This is really outrageous. Neil Patel, who runs a Karco gas station in North Philadelphia, has hired armed security. He recruited Pennsylvania S.I.T.E. agents to protect his customers. These tough-looking men wear Kevlar, bulletproof gear, and are armed with AR-15s and shotguns.

You can imagine how badly the crime spree hits gas stations. Customers are literally out in the open, vulnerable to robbery. Not only do they face getting their phones and wallets taken, but what’s stopping a criminal from jumping into their cars and driving off?

Patel blasted the city for doing nothing. The Democrats who run Philadelphia have not just slashed the police budget. They have implemented radical policies that reward criminals and encourage crime. Patel has no choice but to spend his own money to hire guards.

But that’s better than shutting down for good, unable to pay his employees or feed his family.

This isn’t some backwoods corner of Africa, mind you. This is the United States of America. A major city in the Northeast. Why do Americans have to hire armed guards, just so customers can pump gas?

You know why: Democrats.
